Watched the first part of the game and Waiters was mainly staying on the outside practicing his jumper. The few times he drove to the basket you can tell he'll be able to do that at will. The announcers had a good point that he was probably told before the game to shoot more than drive so they get film of his jump shot. Which did not look good at all last night. He fades away too much when he shoots. Hopefully they start to address that now so it's improved by the start of the year.
As for Zeller and TT. Zeller looked good running the floor and on offense. He had a nice dunk and jumper from the top of the key that stood out. Made some dumb fouls but he'll learn. Overall performed as expected. TT looks about the same as last year. All energy and defense. Had a few nice drives to the hoop but also a few traveling calls. His jumper still looks terrible.

I came away pretty happy with how our first game went. Zeller played like I expected, he's got some talent you don't win ACC player of the year without that. Waiters (as someone said above) needs to start shooting squared up to the basket instead of leaning/fading to a side, but he's obviously going to be at the very least really solid for us.

So what? It's summer league. Derrick rose was terrible in summer league and look at him. Waiters can get to the hoop at will, but it seems they want him to take jumpers to see what they can improve on in his jump shot. I'm far from worried

Yeah he's also been playing the point too.
Staff wants him to get up the jumpers right now. At least according to whoever was announcing.

Zeller has looked better than waiters so far, granted only 2 games into their careers. Waiters can get to the Tim but he hasn't finished from what I saw yesterday.

Jonny Flynn worked out with for the Cavaliers as the team debates whether to add another true point guard.
“It’s something we’re definitely looking at,” Scott said. “I’ve always carried three point guards. I don’t think it’s necessarily a necessity, but I’d feel a little more comfortable if we had three.”
Flynn, an unrestricted free agent, has already worked out for the Bulls and Hawks and has more teams on his schedule.

Can't wait for Jordo's take on this. /sarcasm.
I hope they do sign him, not sure who the other PG on the roster is besides Irving.

If Westbrook is a PG, Waiters can definitely be considered another PG on the roster. He can handle the rock.Commander of Awesome;1227105 wrote: [LEFT]

Great, no one gives a fuck, thus why that topic of conversation was changed a long time ago. Not surprised you can't comprehend that though.jordo212000;1226940 wrote:Mike Wilbon had the same opinion as me yesterday for what it is worth
Anyway, I am with you CoA. I hope they sign Flynn as well.

Dion looking very good tonight. Dude has been unstoppable in the pick and roll, whether on the drive or dishing it off.
