Your kid is smarter than you. I will believe it when I see it, but when it comes out I am getting it.

as for my preference of the rezound...the specs are better across the board except for ICS which the Rezound will have early next year and the Rezound is bulkier...if that matters to you.

Yeah, that might be true also. Also, some people are saying that Sense UI is a tad bloated on the rezound

Played with it today. The phone is awesome. Screen is super clear. The 5mp camera looks better than my 8mp camera on my thunderbolt. The ability to make folders for apps is awesome. Pretty much everything about 4.0 android was very cool.

I like the feel of the rezound better. The razor feels too wide to me and the nexus feels just as wide.

Highly debateable if the Rezound is superior in specs. The Nexus camera is probably better (megapixels are all marketing fluff), processors pretty much equivalent. Screens very similar. Beats gives a slight edge to the Rezound, and more internal storage. Nexus also has an accelerometer that supposedly will help with GPS, especially indoors. Rezound will have ICS soon enough.

Ultimately, I think the Nexus being unlocked (Rezound probably will eventually, too) will give it a bit longer shelf life and better developer community (not that I care about roms at this point, but it will be nice not to have to wait on VZW for months and months for the newest Android update).

I'm getting the Nexus. Hopefully they don't run out of stock before I get off work! Almost as if on cue, my Droid went into a nasty bootloop for some time tonight.
