Sux I'll miss it Sat night due to a trip but this fight will be good. I think Glover can win but like said above I won't be surprised if Jones just comes out like a caged lion and destroys him either.

I don't think Glover gets inside to tag him. Bader almost put Glover away, so I think Jones finishes him before Glover has a chance to hit him. Gus negated the reach advantage.

Glover has good head movement and is very aggressive so it will be interesting. Bader also hits like a truck and Jon hasn't shown anywhere near that type of power yet.

True - but Jones has that reach and those elbows. I just think Glover will eat a lot of damage trying to get in close. Rashad tagged Jones pretty good and Glover seems to hit harder, so one punch may change the entire fight.

Lol Jones is gonna make Texiera his bitch. He's beaten nobody really and is way too one dimensional.

tbh, if it weren't for the opportunity to see jones in the octagon, id be more excited for the co-main.

Glover is way more than one dimensional, great striker with power, very good wrestling and bjj and he is aggressive. He is on par with any of Jon's opponents up to date. He hasn't lost in 9 years lol. Kingsbury, Maldonado, Rampage, Te Huna and Bader is a very impressive run in the UFC, especially with how he's dominated all of them.

Yeah but it seemed like Rashad mentally checked out of that fight after the second round, I can almost guarantee that Glover won't He will be going in to finish the entire time until he gets it or gets finished.

Bader almost beat him and Jones would just demolish Bader these days

That's not the way it works though, Glover got clipped being aggressive against a huge power puncher in Bader, who he then went on to knock out. Hard to use MMA math in this case.

But Bader is the best guy he has fought and he almost lost. Can Glover win yeah if he lands the perfect shot. I would only give him about a 10% chance of winning.

Anyone can almost lose in MMA, you are always seconds away from victory and defeat. I would argue that Rampage is his best win and he smashed him for 3 rounds basically. I think Glover is far more dangerous than Gus is, it's just a question of whether he will be able to stuff take downs and get in range to do damage. I will probably end up picking Jon because he is so dynamic and a winner but Glover is a live dog imo.

Didn't Glover get Rampage in his last right ever in UFC? Not helping his case for a "great" win.

He beat him up for 3 rounds and was never in danger or losing. If you use this argument you could discredit a bunch of Jones wins: Rampage, Shogun, and Bonnar

Jones fought Rampage nearly a year and a half before Tex..Jones took the belt from Shogun and Shogun has been in the UFC for years after. Every single fight Jones is up against the best people in the world. There is no discrediting anything about him. I really don't understand your point.

My point was you're trying to discredit Glover against Rampage for being over the hill, but not discrediting Jones for beating guys who were as well. Lets be honest, Shogun had the belt during a time when LHW was weak (imo).

I think Jones wins, but I think next to Machida and Gus - this is his hardest fight.

I would say Gus Belfort machida were the bigger threats he has faced. I would have Glover probably tied with Evans after those 3.

I don't think anyone can discredit anything that Jones has done, more so just stating that Glover is underrated and being overlooked. You win 20 straight fights and go undefeated for 9 years and you are a stud period.

Glover by Longo leg check wins this!

Anyone have thoughts on the UFC possibly getting uniforms for the fighters to wear? Awful idea IMO. Fighting sports are about stars and this hurts their individuality. Fight fans care more about who is doing the fighting, than the actual fighting.

From what I understand they will still be able to wear sponsors which is what matters.

Would GSP be able to wear his karate uniform? Little things like that are important IMO.

GSP never wore the karate uniform to fight only when he entered the octagon so I don't see that changing at all

That's why I was asking, as I thought it was regulating what they could wear when the walked out and all that. If not, it's no big deal.

Also seeing that Cain might not fight until 2015 with his injuries and TUF coaching gig. That would give him 5 fights in the last four years. It's a shame his prime is being wasted to injuries.
