I agree it was wrong for Silva to rub vaseline on himself but the ref did wipe it off.

I love Silva, but whiping with a towel does not get all the 'greasiness' off. Don't believe me whipe vaseline all over your chest and then in 5 seconds (Yves spent less than that whiping down Anderson) try to whipe it off. Then see how 'greasey' your chest still feels.

Having seen it happen live with both Silva and GSP (when his corner whiped grease on his chest between rounds) it was FAR more blatant on Silva's part than GSP...and GSP was chastised in the 'media' (read Sherdog and Underground forums) for it.

No way he gets another rematch, this is dead IMO. I don't like what Silva did with the vaseline or the pulling of the shorts but its done.

So what is next for both though? I still think Silva fights a 185'er next, as much as I want a Bones or GSP match up I don't think its gonna happen or soon at least.

Anderson will probably fight Munoz if he beats Weidman this week. I'd like to see Brian Stann and Michael Bisping matched up and have Anderson fight the winner of that fight.

As for Sonnen, a fight with Belfort or Wand makes sense after all the shit he has talked about them.

I actually think Silva will get Lombard if he wins later this month. Dude is a beast but his competition he faced in Bellator is suspect for sure. I think that is why he signed with the UFC, 1 fight win then get shot at the belt. Following Lombard, Munoz if he wins tomorrow. Sonnen could get Belfort but what about Franklin in that mix for Sonnen?

Good point about Lombard, that is a marketable fight because he is on such a long win streak. Chael has talked trash about how Rich was a math teacher so that's possible too. I would think they would try and match up Cung Le and Franklin again, they were originally matched up for 148. Completely forgot that there is a stacked Strikeforce card this weekend.

Luke Rockhold vs Tim Kennedy
Nate Marquardt vs Tyron Woodley
Roger Gracie vs Keith Jardine
Lorenz Larkin vs Robbie Lawler

Really good prelim fights too.

Yeah I ordered this last PPV and wasn't thrilled when it was over, lucky I got $40 of the 55 back through friends PPV donations so I wasn't out but 15 bucks. 149 I will watch online.

Strikeforce is solid, only reason I pay for Showtime, well that and Shameless. August Ronda Rousey fights again, can't wait!

This quote just rubs me the wrong way. You're not the boss, fight who you're told to fight. Another reason i don't like Jones.
"It's not that he won't fight me or I won't fight him," Jones said on ESPN LA AM 710.

"To be dead honest, it's that we both have a lot to lose and we both respect each other a lot and we both are striving for personal greatness. I don't want to crack on his greatness and I don't want him cracking on my greatness.

"We're in completely different weight classes. We both have sponsor deals and things that are really important to us and a big part of that sponsorship package is being a winner - being a champion. Having us fight each other means one of our championships goes away.

"I respect Anderson Silva so much that I don't want to be the guy to beat him. I don't want to lose to him either. It's a lose-lose situation for me."

I don't blame him.

He gets paid by his sponsor. He is focused on being the champion in his weight class. If it was original UFC and no weight classes...then it'd probably be different. There are weight classes for a reason. I absolutely cannot stand the minute someone has success we HAVE to find a way to match him up against "the best" in another weight class. Why? It's not his/her weight class. Let them fight in their weight class UNLESS they want to move up/down to do such a thing.

I would be tired of answering that question if I were Jones, Silva, or GSP. It's rather annoying, I am sure.
