In my opinion, the biggest weakness of the big 3 (in my opinion they're definitely the 3 most talented teams at this point) would be

OSU - post depth
UNC - defense
UK - freshmen playing like freshmen

I think there's no question that OSU wins today if Sully plays, and it showed me that this team has no chance of winning anything big without him on the court. It's not surprising that they'd be seriously hurt by him going down, but it was surprising and disappointing to me how poor of a showing Ravenel and Williams had in his absence. I wasn't expecting anything offensively, but if Williams can't score he has to be a defensive presence. Poor help D, poor post D, pitiful defensive rebounding (again, 3 combined defensive boards in 40 minutes).
Every team has a weakness. But if you take the BEST player from any of those teams, those teams would be hurting big time. Take Davis from UK(his defensive presence is huge), Sully ( we saw what happens) or Barnes from UNC, and all those teams would struggle. Especially if these players are out when the team is already on the run. There isn't much time to adjust when an injury happens.

I also disagree about post depth for OSU. Ravenal is a good solid backup. He isn't going to wow anyone. But as a backup to spell Sully some minutes, he is just fine IMO. Williams is not ready. That is obvious. He is a year away from really helping out. OSU weakness is obvious, perimeter shooting. Thank goodness they are not firing it up freely. They know where their bread and butter is. Getting it to the post, to the rim.
Sully will be back in the lineup soon. OSU will be just fine.

Pissed I missed part Of the first half but was able to watch most of the game from a bar, which was a god Damn miracle for the circumstances surrounding yesterday lol

Obviously hell of a game for kansas I think they finally played their best game of the year. Welcome to the big show Kevin young wow where did he come from? Obviously t rob is a beast and Taylor with the assists played well. I fucking hate Connor teahan for a) his basketball "skills" and b) im like 93% sure he fucked my ex girlfriend back when she went to KU (before we started dating lol)

OSU hung in there for being without their all American And most important player. Crafts a tough little son of a bitch but I definitely expected that coming in...he shut up a lot of Kansas fans who were sold that a 6 foot white kid cant be that good...morons

Do I think osu wins with sully playing? Yeah, probably. But I really don't think ku is going to have that great of a season so ill just enjoy this win because it'll probably be the high point of the season lol

Rock chalk!

PS really well done to osu fans on here..I thought id be infuriated reading this thread but it really was a good read with lots of respect..so kudos

I am not one to say I told you so, but I (and couple others) pretty much expected this. ;) I think even with Sully, this game would have been close. Without, I wasn't expecting an OSU win as mentioned. It was an ugly game. KU has some talent, but wow, they make some bonehead mistakes. Self is going to age about 10yrs with this team. They will win some games, but will lose some they shouldn't. Very poor with protecting the ball. And OSU, their weakness is perimeter shooting. Without Sully in the post, and not being able to knock down outside shots consistantly, they struggle. Too bad we couldn't see Sully and Robinson go head to head. Would have been a great matchup! Maybe in the NCAA ;)

Saw this, and kudos to him for playing in spite of it--Kansas would've had a tough time winning without him.

Taylor hurt his knee in practice earlier in the week and could have opted for surgery, but the Jayhawks' medical staff decided he wouldn't harm it any more by playing. They left it up to the senior to decide whether he could manage the pain, and Self didn't ask how much he was experiencing.

Didn't read any of this thread. OSU looked ok, but without Sully they weren't going to win this game. I'd rather the Bucks lose this one without Sully rather than him play hurt and possibly risk further injury to win a basically meaningless game. Wins don't matter til the second half of the season. We saw what Ohio State basketball can be when they dismantled Duke.

Surprisingly? I think they stayed where they should have stayed considering Sullinger did not play. The voters realize this as well. OSU stayed #2 in AP poll as well.
Wondering when Sullinger will be back in action? Weds or do they hold him out until the weekend vs South Carolina.

Yes, surprisingly--usually when you lose, you drop at least a spot or two, regardless of who's playing or not playing. It's nice to see that the voters did indeed realize OSU's situation, but that's not the norm.

As far as Sully playing, who the heck knows. I just hope it's not chronic.

lol if OSU would have dropped a few spots, cbf would say "no surprise, OSU dropped a few spots"

He just waits til after the fact, then claims to have said that's waht he thought would happene all along. It's classic cbf.

Sorry, but Kansas is a good team and Ohio State absolutely DEMOLISHED Duke into oblivion. Honestly, the Duke game wasn't even close. I fear playing Long Beach State more than playing Duke, they are not good this year.

Actually asshole, I would have been surprised they dropped. At this point in the year, I could really care. Everyone knows they are one of the top 5 teams in the country. As evident, ur KU only went up one spot. People know who didn't play, and what would have happened had he played. Thus OSU not dropping, and KU barely moving.

Lol I could spin it as "KU only moved up 1 spot because pollsters don't think OSU is that good of a team, so it's not much of an accomplishment." See how stupid that sounds? Stop spinning shit.

ps. KU only moved up 1 spot because they still have 2 losses on the year.
