I currently do not live in Orrville and havent in 17 years. I am married and have 3 kids 2 of which atttend Jackson Twp schools and one is at Northwest schools. People around me often wonder why I still attend Orrville football games and not Jackson or NW. That answer for me is simple. I dont believe in having regrets in my life as I am humbled to have grown up in Orrville and when i was young I didnt have much in my family in the way of money etc. I have learned a lot of great life lessons in my time from mentors and life coaches. The only one regret I have and there isnt a day that goes by that I dont think about it at least once is that I never got a chance to run out of that locker room as an Orrville Red Rider. I am now 35 years old and still think about that multiple times per day. I never got a chance to experience the comraderie and brotherhood that is involved in putting on that uniform. I cannot go back and change that and at the time it didnt seem that important to me. I would love someday to be more involved in the football games. For now all I can contribute is I drive from Canton OH to every single game. I had a chance 5 years ago to join the Rittman staff under coach Teague. The day I sat and talked to him we connected and he knew I didnt know everything about football but I new leadership and how to motivate. I have been doing that all my adulthood. I run a very successful facility service company in Jackson Twp and I have 100 people under me that I teach, train, coach, and motivate everyday. Coach Teague was intrigued by my leadership skills and offered me an opportunity. He said I will teach you football but you teach our kids how to be great on and off the field. I ended up not doing it as my previous employer would have had conflicts with it. I also coach a 9-10 youth baseball team in Canal FUlton and the biggest gratifying moments for me are seeing my kids giving it their all. I get the best out of those young men. We may not have had the most talent but we got better every time we practiced and played in the games. I dont know Doug Davault personally but I can see as a coach it is the leadership skills he lacks. Hell I would love to help him out with it. He knows the X's and O's but he lacks the other half and maybe he just needs taught. Thats my story in a nutshell. I am an average Joe without a Big Orrville name but excuse me for being passionate about the program. I love this program and always will regardless of what now or the future holds. I cant change my past but always look forward to Friday nights going to Orrville games as i know I will never run out of the lockeroom as a player but hold on the the glimmer of hope that someday i will as a coach. If you all want to talk or text me to have a conversation about the Red Riders my number is 330-488-4462. I have nothing against anyone on here I do however enjoy getting a rise out of some people as I have also been told a time or two that I am good at it. Thanks to all and as always GO Red Riders!!!
