The big guy from Libbey was Julius Wells, who plays with Hitchens at James Madison.

Hitchens:

I dispute that. Again, 1 great player. 1 talented but really inconsistent player (Tyshawn). And then a whole bunch of average players, at best. They have Withey and Teahan playing 20+ minutes a game. They aren't a great (or talented) team this season. They probably finish 3rd-5th in the B12 in my opinion.

Tournament team? Sure. Great team (or greatly talented team)? No way.

It's not a bad loss, but it's a game that wouldn't have been a loss with Sullinger playing and it shows how much trouble this team is going to be in if he's out. And when I say trouble I mean in the NCAA tournament, because that's all that really matters (not implying his injury is serious, but if he was to get into early foul trouble, for example).

I think we'd be in much worse shape if he's out than UK without Jones (the other 4 starters average double digits and Miller is a former starter averaging 9 off of the bench) or UNC without Barnes (Hairson is a 5* recruit averaging 8 ppg in 12 minutes off of the bench - obvious drop-off but nowhere near the magnitude of replacing Sullinger with Ravenel/Williams).

Their big guy was Ray Chambers....he almost blew the winning lay in. Humpty called the play to go the length of the court in 4.2 seconds to win it all.

FWIW He's also shooting 47% from 3 land. He always reminded me of Barry Sanders playing basketball.....insane quickness

That team also had Chris Givens who was an excellent receiver at Miami of Ohio.

I think ur going a bit overboard here. Playing without Sullinger, who has played WITH them up until this past week, is going to be a struggle. If he were out for an extended period of time, the team would get better knowing how to play without him. To have him taken away quick, then turn around and expect something from them is a bit much. If he is in foul trouble or something, you have that confidence knowing he is still there and coming back in.
Are you watching UK right now with Jones being a no show? They don't look too great BTW. You take away your best, most consistant player from ANY team, and they are going to struggle. Its still early in the season, but teams have developed a chemisty, players a role, etc, etc.

Remember when Evan turner was out... We were lost. Came back and we took right back off. And I really believe that Ross is going to be huge later in this season!

UK didn't look great, but they had a no-show Jones + Davis in foul trouble the whole game. That would be like Sullinger being out for OSU + Craft or Buford only playing 20 minutes because of foul trouble.

In my opinion, the biggest weakness of the big 3 (in my opinion they're definitely the 3 most talented teams at this point) would be

OSU - post depth
UNC - defense
UK - freshmen playing like freshmen

I think there's no question that OSU wins today if Sully plays, and it showed me that this team has no chance of winning anything big without him on the court. It's not surprising that they'd be seriously hurt by him going down, but it was surprising and disappointing to me how poor of a showing Ravenel and Williams had in his absence. I wasn't expecting anything offensively, but if Williams can't score he has to be a defensive presence. Poor help D, poor post D, pitiful defensive rebounding (again, 3 combined defensive boards in 40 minutes).

Hey Glorius Buckeye fans, what happened today? HAHAHAHAHAHAHA play a good team on the road and look what you produce! You wont play at home in March so enjoy the early exit in the tourney! You were never really in that game today! Let me guess its because Sullinger was out right? It would not have mattered. Kansas is better then OSU period!!!

First off nobody thought osu would run the table. That's crazy. And we waxed your ass!!! We lost today. We aren't sitting here crying like you wanted us to so you're trying to egg it on. But we lost a game at one of the toughest venues in basketball, without our all American, and had it down to 4 with 2:19 to go. Blow me! 85-63 trumps anything you say.
