Is it really fair to pick on Orrville fans? I mean, they're like cute little Downs Syndrome babies.

That's right you guys did play the last third of the season on turf, hope they can adjust back.

Breaking news.....Due to the construction of the spanking machine, the field conditions in Creston are horrible. All home games are now going to played in Lodi at Cloverleaf local schools. Please contact Paul if you need directions.

The WCAL doesn't hate Orrville, we are undefeated against them in the last decade or two haha

I can honestly say that I don't hate Orrville. I like to watch good football no matter who is playing. It is rare that we play each other and when we do I will always root for the WCAL , but I don't hate their program, I respect it........
It is some, but not all of the posters that i could do without, but most are very knowledgeable in their own right.

Dalton and Fairless tied the scrimmage at 2. Fairless dominated their first 10 plays scoring twice. After that Dalton dominated the rest of the scrimmage. Dalton looked good passing and running (without the possibly starting QB). Both sides of the ball are much better than they were last year. Im definitely excited about this team.

i was pleasantly surprised about the dawgs play today. As was mentioned above, fairless scored early, but despite the score, dalton clearly controlled this scrimmage. They put way more pressure on the fairless qb then fairless was able to muster. soph JD Murphy is a beast on both lines. QB Ryder did not play due to being banged up, but jr jack burke looked very sharp at qb. Moyer at fullback, raines and mcginty solid at wingback. Dalton has some real size at the TE/reciever potisions with adam metzger, conner clark, and zaylor rowley all big with good hands- raines and moyer caught the ball well out of the backfield also. They threw quite a bit and looked pretty good doing it. After a couple missed tackles early, the d played well. They will definitely be better than last year although i still think they are a year away from contending in the wcl and playoffs. Their biggest issue is a very thin sr and freshmen class. This team is all 10th and 11th graders. All in all, a positive morning.

Don't get used to this Catboy, but for just this once, I actually agree with you.

Orrville has provided me with many great memories throughout the years, both in victory and defeat. I also hate to say it, but before the playoffs expanded, they were usually the only ones still playing.

Most, if not all, of their posters hate me because I troll their thread once in awhile, but in some twisted way that makes it more enjoyable.

Bottom line....nobody celebrates louder when they win and nobody complains more when they lose. They're passionate about their team and I can respect that.

FUN FACT: Orrville has never beaten Northwestern in Football....and yes, they've played:laugh:

I had a slightly different opinion from yesterday morning's scrimmage. First, why didn't I take a long-sleeve shirt or jacket? Grr! Stupid me. Anyway, at no time did I see Dalton "dominate". In the last 10 plays they finally got to the QB, yes, but their offense was still pretty stagnant, IMO. Dalton's passing game, from what I saw, was pretty bad. In my opinion, Fairless DID "dominate" the first 10 plays, rather easily. Dalton's coaches got their kids to play with some intensity, though, and it helped. Even when Fairless was getting 5 yards a crack in their 2nd series, Dalton players were yelling like they had stuffed them. Haha.

Anyway, I think it'd be be a good game between the 2 if they were to play a full game. Fairless' offense was much more well-rounded than Dalton's, and Fairless' skilled position players (especially the QB) were much better. But Dalton seemed tougher and had a better line. But remember, this is Fairless we're talking about, who has had only 4 wins in the last 3 years. So let's consider the competition. Either way, it was only the first scrimmage. Still 2 weeks until the first game, and from what I heard Dalton was missing plenty of key players. Good luck to both teams! Triway scrimmages Dalton next Friday, which will be a good test and measuring stick for both teams. I'm interested how we do against Dalton's line, and how Dalton contains our skilled position players. Should be competitive.

fairless's offense was well rounded? I remember only a couple completed passes. They had some decent running plays early. Dalton had 4-5 sacks on fairless, i do not remember a sack of the dalton qb. I agree, there was no domination, but i also thought the bulldogs moved the ball much more consistenly and with more balance. Fsirless is not a good team and will not have a great record. I think dalton will finish middle of the pack. I think i was more impressed that they were better than i expected, rather than the bulldogs being a good team.

Pit went to the Triway/Northwestern scrimmage. His synopsis can be found on the Triway 2012 thread.

So you're saying New London figured out the coach's kid throwing the screen pass early on?

Didn't make it to the scrimmage...felt sitting in the rain wouldn't be fun considering how Rittman is looking. I'll be there week 1 but idk after that

I think there will be a good crowd in Rittman on Week 1. Lots of curious onlookers.
