Dalton looked good passing and running (without the possibly starting QB). Both sides of the ball are much better than they were last year. Im definitely excited about this team.

They put way more pressure on the fairless qb then fairless was able to muster. soph JD Murphy is a beast on both lines. QB Ryder did not play due to being banged up, but jr jack burke looked very sharp at qb. Moyer at fullback, raines and mcginty solid at wingback. Dalton has some real size at the TE/reciever potisions with adam metzger, conner clark, and zaylor rowley all big with good hands- raines and moyer caught the ball well out of the backfield also. They threw quite a bit and looked pretty good doing it. After a couple missed tackles early, the d played well. They will definitely be better than last year although i still think they are a year away from contending in the wcl and playoffs. Their biggest issue is a very thin sr and freshmen class. This team is all 10th and 11th graders. All in all, a positive morning.
I had a slightly different opinion from yesterday morning's scrimmage. First, why didn't I take a long-sleeve shirt or jacket? Grr! Stupid me. Anyway, at no time did I see Dalton "dominate". In the last 10 plays they finally got to the QB, yes, but their offense was still pretty stagnant, IMO. Dalton's passing game, from what I saw, was pretty bad. In my opinion, Fairless DID "dominate" the first 10 plays, rather easily. Dalton's coaches got their kids to play with some intensity, though, and it helped. Even when Fairless was getting 5 yards a crack in their 2nd series, Dalton players were yelling like they had stuffed them. Haha.
Anyway, I think it'd be be a good game between the 2 if they were to play a full game. Fairless' offense was much more well-rounded than Dalton's, and Fairless' skilled position players (especially the QB) were much better. But Dalton seemed tougher and had a better line. But remember, this is Fairless we're talking about, who has had only 4 wins in the last 3 years. So let's consider the competition. Either way, it was only the first scrimmage. Still 2 weeks until the first game, and from what I heard Dalton was missing plenty of key players. Good luck to both teams! Triway scrimmages Dalton next Friday, which will be a good test and measuring stick for both teams. I'm interested how we do against Dalton's line, and how Dalton contains our skilled position players. Should be competitive.
