Where to start?

This is pretty accurate.

When you go to the "hands" team you usually replace the front line. The guys in the secondary are already "hands" people. The secondary was the ones that could not cover up the ball the first two times and it took three of them to get on the ball the third time.

Good kid just not a defensive back. Where the heck was the double coverage on Oak Hills number 28!!! Nowhere to be found.
Hillsdale's pass D has been suspect all year. No need to single out just one young man.
Hogger53;1311912 wrote:Icing on the cake, it look liked the center forgot the count on 1st and goal from the 1, cuz the entire line jumped before the ball was snapped (jumped offsides on defense all night too).
We have switched centers back and forth all season trying to find the right combination. Was it the center or was it the line. Judging by the way the D line jumped all night I would guess that the Oaks were saying something to draw them and may have also on the play in question.

I agree, the interception, it happens. IMO having a sophmore as our star RB and main go too guy says a lot about the depth of atheletes on this team.
Hogger53;1311912 wrote:Oh well, Im actually glad this sorry excuse for a season is over... had potential just choked. IMO, next year Ryan Bee is the QB he actually ran over 2 kids on that terrible fake punt call and was hurt the play before that and was even signaling to the side lines not to call that play. He made the first down not the coaching call, the kid has a good arm descent speed and is just flat out a beast.
There is a lot that can be discussed here but I will not. I seriously doudt that Bee will be QB next year. My money would be on Corbin, which would open up a whole lot of possibilities for the option if enough other pieces could be found.

Which Coach Williams would you like?
The coach that threw almost every down his first season with a team that hardly knew what a pass game was.
The coach that every one in the WCAL knows for crazy kick off and PAT formations.
The coach that on-sided the the initial kick off of the Western Reserve game (just like he did Saturday, which did not surprise anyone near me) and then the ensuing kick off after the score.
The coach that surprises no one on our side when he runs the Mongolian Montage.
The coach that called the Hillsdale version of the immaculate reception versus PH at Bowling Green.
I could go on and on. You want the "old" Coach Williams, the Williams I have watched for the last ten years has always called "crazy" plays at crazy times. You just want them to always work.
I believed at the beginning of the season this team was a 6-4 team. They did better then that. They made the post season, the third time in four years and the third time in school history. They had a good year.
There is a lot of things that play into a successful team, talent, intelligence, hard work, commitment to the program, and parents and community that support the kids and the coaches and stay out of the coaches way.
If placing bets today, I would say we are looking at 5&5 next year for a mix of the reasons I just gave to a successful team.
