Odom asked for the trade.

Maybe Kobe should be pissed at Odom.

Basically that he doesn't understand it and he said "I don't like it."

It was more his tone and mannerisms that showed he was pissed.

[h=3]Cavaliers Re-Sign Anthony Parker[/h]Dec 12, 2011 11:09 AM EST
The Cleveland Cavaliers have signed guard/forward Anthony Parker to a contract, General Manager Chris Grant announced. Per league and team policy, terms of the contract were not announced.

“Bringing back Anthony was a high priority for us. We place great value on the leadership, professionalism and veteran presence he brings both on the court and in the locker room,” said General Manager Chris Grant. “His high basketball IQ, ability to shoot with range and play solid perimeter defense made re-signing him extremely important for us.”

Bleh, just no one else to run out there at the 2 guard I guess.

I understand his frustration, every other night Odom played well. One of my favorite players early in his career, he just doesn't have any consistency nor does he give effort every night. I would find him a frustrating player to watch on my team, he has the tools/skills to be a top 20 player in this league.

Hopefully Parker only got a small 1 year contract. Do not want.

He's just there to show the young players the way. I'm sure there going to tank this year to get another high pick. I'm hoping for Harrison Barnes

Hornets would get: Al-Farouq Aminu, Chris Kaman, Eric Bledsoe, and 2012 1st Rounder

This would give the Clips a pretty good starting line up of Paul, Gordon, Butler, Griffin, and ... I would think they would have to match Golden State's offer to DeAndre Jordan because Kaman was the only other center they had on their roster.
NBA wants Bledsoe AND Gordon in the deal.

No way to I give up that much for Paul. Gordon and unprotected pick of a bad team (Minny), Bledsoe, Aminu and Kaman? No thanks.

Scratch that...sounds like Bledsoe or the pick. The Clippers are making them choose. When I first saw they wanted Bledsoe, I thought it was way too much as well. Glad to see the Clippers put their foot down.

The Laker deal was more fair to both teams but since its The Stern Hornets making out like bandits and the Clippers getting fleeced this deal will probally go thru.

Found this pic on the realgm.com forums. I wonder what Brown is saying to make Kobe look so depressed. LOL.

Deal dead, for now. Thank God for the Clippers. That would have been a monumental mistake.

Either telling Kobe to pass the ball or to play defense.

the two deals aren't comparable in my opinion. i have no idea what demps was doing with the laker deal because that would have mired the hornets in mediocrity for at least three years with all those 29-31 year olds. the clipper deal would have given the hornets young talent but most importantly cap flexibility and the probability of having two top ten draft picks in a stacked draft.

david stern must have demanded blake griffin or something to ultimately kill this deal

Sheesh. CP3 will be staying in Nola at this rate. I feel bad for CP3, he's stuck in a bad spot.

I dont feel bad for CP3, he ever stated that he wanted to stay. He'll get his payday, I feel bad for Nola fans. Still glad the lakers deal was vetoed though, that was ridiculous.

Which is SUCH a great move by the NBA. You know, "good basketball" moves are what they are about. But yet they are going to make him stay in NOLA and then leave at the end of the year and the Hornets will get NOTHING for him. Stern is continuing to be the joke of a commish that he is.

Agree. The Clips would be a pretty legit team with a big time PG, but only if you can bring one in without giving away half of your contributing players.

[h=3]Davis Likely To Be Waived, End Up With Knicks[/h]Dec 12, 2011 1:35 PM EST
While Baron Davis has left Cleveland to have his back examined, a source says it is likely that he is waived by the Cavaliers -- either via buyout or amnesty -- and that he ends up signing with the Knicks.
But Davis may not be available to play for a while due to a bad back.

Via Ken Berger/CBS Sports (via TwitteR)

I'll be surprised if he's gone via Amnesty, too much money to pay him for not playing then sign another player to take his roster spot.
