In order to do work on the exterior of the basement we'd have to dig up our sidewalk which will end up adding significant cost to the project. I'll probably end up not worrying about it since it's only annoying and not really a huge problem and it seems like it will be cost prohibitive.
We don't have basement water problems, but when I built our theater down there I did this just so I could sleep better at night:

(site looks like it was made by a 12 year old in 1999, but they were the cheapest when I priced it out, and shipped quick)

I think it ran like $400 or so and took about a half day to finish the job (once you have it prepped).

I would also do drylok paint on the walls...

Most companies won't even mess with doing it from the outside. The only company that gave us a quote on fixing it from the outside was EverDry. They said they would dig up all the way around the house down to the footers, fix each crack, apply a coating, and then refill and regrade. They said it would run us about $30,000 to do.

Fixing it from the inside is definitely cheaper.

I don't know shit about how to do it as I only scored a 24 on my ACT......but about 15 years ago my grandmother had it done to her small house and it was around $6500. It has not leaked a drop since and there are zero worries of it.

I wish I live in an 800k condo. With the real estate market the way it is, I'd be lucky to get $400k out of this place.
