That is the main reason I could see Morris not wanting to go. I think he wants the keys to his own offense.

I think he will call the majority of the plays. And most things I've read have said the same thing. I'd rather the guy from lsu, because of his work with o-lineman

Muschamp confirms that Mickey Marotti has left Florida to join Urban Meyer at Ohio State.
Not a surprise, but some finality.

Greenville, SC News is reporting that Clemson has upped Morris to 975,000 and in return he has agreed not to entertain other assistant jobs. This does leave HC job up for debate if he is offered them. Apparently TA&M is thinking about hiring Houston's coach, and they are thinking about Morris (he is a Texas HS legend). Here is the link...http://www.greenvilleonline.com/article/20111204/SPORTS/312040027/Morris-agrees-pay-increase-keeps-him-Clemson?odyssey=tab|topnews|text|FRONTPAGE

Unfortunately it is a pay article, but trust me on the content.

Meyer also approached the two coaches from his former UF staff -- running backs coach Brian White and linebackers coach and special teams coordinator D.J. Durkin -- about making the move to Columbus, but both have decided to stay with Muschamp.

What is the latest on Hinton? I know he's been on the road recruiting but haven't heard if he is still in the running or considering leaving?

Stoops never allowed his DC at AZ to have control of the defense, was always sticking his nose in and overiding the guy's decisions. When he got fired the DC became the interim HC and promptly beat UCLA with a tough attacking style defense that Stoops never let him run.

Buckeyes have one prima donna on the sidelines now already...don't need another.

Just a quick follow up. Chad Morris has accepted a 6 year deal worth 1.35 million per year to stay at Clemson. So I guess that answers the question about if they were willing to give up the dough to keep him!

Thank god he didn't come to osu. That's ridiculous money. Especially at Clemson.

Morris is going to make some serious bank each year when Clemson inevitably gags and loses the token 2-3 games each year that they shouldn't

What does Dabo Swinney make you ask?

1.75 mil guaranteed plus incentives. LOL the OC makes 77% of the HC's salary

Dabo is bumped to 2.2 million base plus incentives. We are fine on money, and pull in the most of any acc school on a yearly basis. At a school like clemson thats what it takes to keep very good coordinators. His buyout is also very small. But to keep him from moving to a place like osu you have to pony up because clearly osu has much more prestige. And huge lol at OSU talking about money for coaches. You paid urban 5+ million a year and he hasn't proven a darn thing at OSU. Have you ever stopped to think that maybe he will flop rich rod style?

Well no shit he hasn't coached a game at OSU yet lol obviously he can't prove anything yet.

But he has proven what he can do at 3 different schools (100% success rate). He will not flop "like Rich Rod"....when has Rich Rod ever led 2 different schools to BCS games? A school to 2 title games? A school to 2 national titles? Terrible, terrible comparison.
