Doubtful, Peterson was out recruiting recently too and he will not be on the staff.

Murray is great player.

The whole Busick situation was really surprising.

In the past 2 days? From what I understand, the above is true, that only staff staying on is allowed to recruit, hence why Taver Johnson who usually handles northern Ohio was out in Vandalia, because they are being stretched thin.

I believe so. They can have up to 10 coaches off campus recruiting. If they don't have their 10 guys out now they are going to miss out. I think Peterson was visited someone who already committed. I will have to go back and figure out who it was...

Same deal w/ Ricquan Southward, he didn't really attend camps, so he wasn't high on the recruiting lists, but by all accounts, he's legit.

My understanding is that, according to the waiver they got from the NCAA, up to 10 coaches can be recruiting at any given time but no more than 10. I don't believe it specified those coaches had to be ones who would be on the staff next year.

Aubrey Hill is the latest name being thrown around. He is currently the WR coach and Recruiting Coordinator at Florida.

If Meyer ends up stealing a few coaches from Florida, it's going to make those gator fans even madder.

Oh noes, they might post more bad satire! :p

That is odd. Hill didn't even coach with Meyer. He has great connections in S. Fl. for recruiting, is a Gator alum, came from coaching Miami last year. Meyer will use him and not have to show his face around Florida high school coaches. Marotti has had a tough time deciding to leave Gainesville. Marotti is the one who talked Meyer out of quitting the first time, they are close friends. Sounds like Durkin is staying. Most UF fans want to keep Hill and send Durkin, haha.

We are hearing the Chad Morris rumors from Clemson's side fyi. Rumor is that we are about to get in a bidding war. I think Morris doesn't want to move as his daughter is in high school right now, but will for the right price. We have some extra cash, so the war could be pretty good for him. I would really like to keep him; I think he is a genius, but I know the allure of Columbus and Urban might be hard for him to pass up. We will see what happens.

Can Clemson afford to pay an OC 500-600K a year?

Kevin Steele our D coordinator made 750K this year base, and I am sure winning the conference came with some more. Morris made 450K base with a chance for 150K in incentives which I am sure he got most of. And yes we can absolutely afford it. We have one of the best booster organizations in the nation in IPTAY. Add that to the fact that we can finally stop paying Tommy Bowden buyouts and I think we can comfortably bid quite a bit.

Should be very interesting then. Looks like Morris will win either way!

Ha that is the truth! Either he wants to leave and will make a lot of money. Or he wants to stay and will make a lot of money. Lotta offensive talent to chose from at both as well. Though I think Miller is a bit more of a fixer-upper at QB. What is your WR situation like?

Well, we certainly don't have a Sammy Watkins. It's really hard to tell what we have at WR. Stoneburner can be the best TE in the country. Devin Smith and Evan Spencer both showed talent. Philly Brown can't be covered, but he also can't catch...lol. Alot of rumors of 4 and 5 star WR's showing interest. I'd say Clemson has the edge.

I dont doubt that if it is the guy Urban really wants that he could get up to $1 mil with incentives.

I have a hard time seeing many of the WRs on the team right now factoring in much next season. None of them seem to be ideally suited for Meyer's offense. They lack impact speed. Brown is probably the closest thing to what he is looking for on the current roster though.

I could see us ponying up over 1 million as well, since we don't pay Dabo all that much. I don't think money is going to be the determining factor. He will use the OSU job as a way to get more money from us, and we will pony up. It will come down to whether or not he wants to move.

I'll pass on Morris. Meyer will likely call most of the plays anyway. So no reason to overpay for someone who won't be doing everything.

Meyer will adjust to the WR's he has, as of right now, them and the 4 recruits are all we have, with no guarantee of getting anyone else.

By all accounts, Morris is a very good offensive mind. It's worth paying for his insight if nothing else. Meyer will be involved, but he won't call most of the plays.
