It just depends on the kids you have. You don't run this Kenton offense without a stud QB who can run and throw, as well as at least 5 guys that can run sharp routes and have good hands.
Same with Norwayne. You don't run that offense without the personnel to do it. Same with Hillsdale or Smithville. You don't run their style of offense without the personnel to do it.
The spread offense is effective, just as ANY offense can be ... if you have the right makeup for it. If you don't have the personnel, a smart coach will never try to force a team to fit into an offense or defense it isn't tailored to fit into.
This Norwayne team fit this offense like a glove, though, and the coaches took advantage of that by constructing a great offensive gameplan all throughout these playoffs. My hat is off to the kids and the coaches. You're not only WCAL champs. You're OHSAA State Champs!
