I would argue why black people even care anymore? None of the black people alive today are associated with any form of slavery, nor had family around for the origins of the word. Sensitive much?

Agreed. It's stupid. I hear white kids saying it and I'm like "WTF?" I'm surprised that shit doesn't get white kids asses kicked around here but they say it to the black kids and both just laugh it off.

It still has a lot of bad connotation when a white person says it to a black person I'd imagine. No different than any other ethnic slur.

Never have seen a white kid call another white kid it. I do see black kids calling black kids it all of the time, though. I've also seen white kids call it to their friends who are black, and they black friend is fine with it as long as its "a" and not "er"
