Can we please remove the 'thread approval' mechanism in the politics forum? Is it really that chaotic that you have to evaluate each thread before it can be posted?

Can I get someone to explain why unemployment benefits for the long term unemployed is necessary? I get in the short term, like 3-6 months maximum, but long term unemployment benefits make no sense.

On November 9th I created a new topic thread in the politics forum which has not yet been approved. It has also not be explained why it may have been declined, although I think I know why.

I'm slow on approving topics. I am usually on my phone and will approve them every 3 days or so (unless I catch it on tapatalk, which is horribly annoying to do)

What's the point of needed to approve topics? Even if you get dumb topics, the free market will let them sink to the bottom. If they are really inappropriate, you have moderator powers to remove them.
