This makes me sad and embarrased. I'll elaborate more on my feelings if/when people read it. Should take about 20 minutes or so. It's about an American who was pseudo accused of terrorism, then all the charges were dropped, then he got 20 years in prison for it. I think we're better than that.

I think you are right. All these terrorists were influenced by quotes on Ohio Chatter. I didn't know that they frequented this site for their rhetoric. It should probably be shut down now. More bombs! That'll show them that we are the nice guy there to help them and are actually trying to show them how to be free, even though they hate us because of our freedoms.

You know I have never heard a terrorist when they kill Americans say anything like “America is great, long live America.” If you have some examples please give them to me. Even a Non Muslim-American terrorist Tim McVeigh expressed criticisms very similar to yours.
It is quite possible to express criticism of the war in Iraq for example without claiming that Americans are evil imperialist or that our enemies are justified in killing American service people and civilians. Army Chief of Staff Eric Shinseki criticizes rhe war plan for not understanding what commitment of troops and material would be needed in a post war Iraq. Marine Corps General and head of Central Command Joseph Hoar thought the war would be costly and possibly unnecessary as he told a Senate Committee. As did his successor Marine Corps General Anthony Zinni who argued deposing Sadaam was a low priority. Several other general officers criticized the action. What the did not do was : claim the US is an evil imperialist state and that our enemies are heroes.

And lets see, we've gone into countries and taken them over by force and are currently trying to mold their governments and societies to be more like ours while at the same time our corporations are attempting to profit from their resources. Yup, seems like imperialism to me.

I sure would not argue about the shutdown. But what you get on here is part of that flood of sympathy for the killers. It serves as part of a momentum to these acts. From Bill Maher claiming the 9/11 attackers were heroes, Michael Moore calling them freedom fighters, Noam Chomsky providing a rational for their actions, what you find here just contributes to that ringing justification for killing Americans be they service people or civilians, all agents of American imperialism, all according to Ward Churchill "little Eichmans."

I think the only way to get someone to understand your opinion or view is to kill them. So we should probably just keep killing people in the middle east until they finally see it our way and accept our way of living. It's the only rational thing to do. Occupy their lands before they occupy ours.
