If the Pats can't turn you around....no one can. This might be the biggest case of a guy getting paid and completely shutting it down.

I'd frankly rather have Gerard Warren back. THAT'S how much I don't want to see Haynesworth on this team. Got nothing to do with being an 'asshole." This guy makes Shaun Rogers work ethic/energy level look like a model citizen. Lazy mofo...

Haynesworth is a piece of garbage. If I were the Browns and strongly considering picking him up I would def talk to him first. Outside of his attitude I wouldnt mind it because I do think the Browns will face injuries on the Dline and he could potentially help. I do think he's a headcase though. Sean Smith comes to mind before Rogers.

Count me in as another guy that doesn't want him, although...I think he would be our best receiver the moment he stepped on the field.

If you're any team, you tell him that you won't pay him until after the season. Give him league minimum but tell him that he could make up to $X million if he did certain things. Dangle the carrot. Don't just give him the carrot and tell him to run.

Exactly. Not directed at like_that but I sometimes don't get the fascination with Browns' fans with picking up other teams garbage off the scrap heap. Sometimes a player makes sense (Donnie Avery) but not in the case of Haynesworth.

Seriously though, another fat hog in the middle is not going to help one bit. We need linebackers that are fast and can tackle. I am ok with Rubin and Taylor in the middle.

He is a proven player when he wants to play. You never know. I have seen teams pick up head cases before, and the player turns into gold. If you are paying the guy absolute shit, there really is nothing to lose. If he acts up just tell him to GTFO.

I'm also fine with Rubin and Taylor, however they need a break too. Esp with how terrible our offense is. Another guy like we tried to get in with Bunkley could go a long way and help, esp bc we're bound to have an injury along the dline.

Understood but I expect that player will be acquired in the 2012 draft or possibly free agency/via trade. Ship's done sailed on the 2011 season.

I'm with like_that, I bring him on an incentive-laden deal and if he plays well you hit the jackpot. If he sucks, you cut him like New England did. There is very little risk here.
