To any of you Riders that might know some old school information...A guy that lives in Sterling and went to Norwayne told me that the very first game on Rider Stadium field was Orrville vs Norwayne.
This guy was in his 60's and seemed to know what he was talking about so I really didn't know if he's just full of BS or is he in fact telling the truth...Any one know who was the first game played on the present Stadium field and what year it was played?

Yes Dave Yonto said it was the field dedication game in 1958. Reggie Williams was a senior. Riders won.
