This will be the biggest game in Norwaye history...and just another week 12 game for Orrville. We're used to this and to be honest, we expect to be here.

That said...I think it's going to be one heck of an atmosphere. Norwayne fans may be hoarse before kickoff.

I'd be shocked if this game is anywhere BUT Medina.

This game means the world to Norwayne, and it's not just Norwayne it is the entire WCAL. It is finally time to settle it on the field.

Medina would be the best choice. Just up route 3 from Creston an up 57 from Orrville, so handy and close for both teams.

I know some will call that cocky and exactly why we need to be "knocked down a few pegs" but it's the truth. It's called TRADITION.

I vote for Medina.

Wherever the game is played, look out. As the legendary Keith Jackson would say, " this one has all the makings to be a dandy."

And therein lies the main issue the Riders will have to overcome this week. This is the Norwayne's Super Bowl but really it's also the Wayne County League's Super Bowl. They are going to be up for this game like no other for 48 minutes. They get some momentum and get over the Orrville mystique and it could get interesting. And I've gotta think the entire WCAL will be there cheering them on. The Riders may have to be able to play down a score and with a few thousand rabid fans cheering for their opposition. If they can stay poised and weather the storm their talent will carry the day.

It's not in a format readable by anything other than the scoreboard...I'm going to try but it will be a few days.

We have played in front of huge crowds before....nothing new with fans cheering their teams on. As for the entire wcal rooting for Norwayne, I was shocked at the responses after I posed the question week 8 on the WCAL thread.....a lot of people said Orrville :o

Devils Advocate question here regarding the crowd noise, if Lichti can't go and Brenner does at qb does that make a difference in front of such a large crowd?

One team has played 4 playoff games...one has played 49. I know none of that matters, just sayin.

Not really a Super Bowl for WCAL fans, as they have had teams go into regional games and even Smithville to the state finals and Orrville kids have grown up with this playoff atmosphere and rabid fans on the other side of the field, so it's nothing new for them. Norwayne on the other hand has not been to this level of a hyped up playoff atmosphere and media buildup so are really in uncharted waters for them and who knows how they will be affected by it all.

I am thinking that players in the game hear very little of the crowd noise and are not affected by most of it , unless some idiot brings in a huge bell :)

Drew Brenner and Mason Monheim played in the 09 playoffs..so for those two..this will be their 9th playoff game.

Kids like Zook, Summers, Turner were big parts of last year's run and this will be their 6th playoff game.

More than just a game or two...

I think Orrville will probably take care of business....but the humiliation that would come with losing to the only WCAL team you've played in 30 yrs. adds a little tension to the whole thing for the Riders.
