I am in the majority of Penn State fans on this. I love Joepa, but if he indeed knew and all of this is true, he should be gone along with all of the other people who will have to answer for this either in court or with the highest court.
I discussed this with my wife today. My youngest son's middle name is Joseph in honor of Paterno and what he has stood for over his career. I sincerely hope he did not have a hand in the cover up, but after reading everything, it is hard to believe he didn't. Big Red should be ashamed of putting Penn State football above these kids. At age 28, my dad would not have been call #1 and my dad and I are very close.
NCAA will have no hand in this. The President of the University needs to make sure Paterno retires and the entire staff that knew any of this is gone. It is a very sad day for all of us who have been involved in college athletics. No individual is bigger than the program does not mean this.
