Andre Johnson will probably be back and ready to pwn. The Browns offense is terrible. Texans in a rout.

I hope Foster doesn't carve us for 100 yds in the first half the way Gore did. I think the Texans have the best 1-2 RB combo in the league and it should be a long day for our dline.

Yeah, I don't think it will be Andre tearing up the Browns, it will be Foster. If Gore can shred the defense for 100+ yards in one half, Foster surely can do it as well. Fantasy owners should be happy about this matchup smh.

What do you all think. Is the putrid run defense more so on the dline or the linebackers?

The run defense was much better in the second half. I think they only gave up 30-40 yards rushing in the second half. Too bad they took a half to make adjustments. The long outside runs in the first half were from not keeping outside containment.

I was talking with a guy yesterday at work about our RB injuries. Josh Cribbs' name came up. Maybe they should put a few plays in with him at RB. He is as tough a runner as we have, and would be a good receiver out of the backfield. Just a thought....

I see this game as as either a 3 TD loss, or being closer than most think. It all comes down to containing Foster and our OL play. Soooo, it will probably be like 31-10 Texans.

Unless this OL miraculously gets better, I expect the offense to keep struggling. Factor in the RB injuries, and it makes things even worse. Hard to run or throw the ball effectively when half your line is pure crap.

Clarification:

Offense struggles, and it's a blowout and Foster puts up 30-i won't be mad
Offense miraculously does okay, and it's a close game but the Browns lose and Foster puts up 30-i won't be happy

Do you think the Browns will call up Armond Smith from the practice squad to be the back-up running back, turn Cribbs into a running back (he's listed as omly 10lbs lighter than Hardesty and Ogbonnaya) or go out and pick someone up?

Come on Hillis, I know hammy injuries suck, but fucking 3.5 weeks out is just ridiculous.

May have been mentioned but to make room for Clayton the Browns released Brian Robiskie.

Browns also supposedly offered Hillis a 3 year, $16.5m contract ($3m guaranteed). The $3m guarantee is less than they guaranteed Gocong.

Hillis' hamstring may be torn so it may be worse than thought.

Andre Johnson may be ready to go Sunday but I wouldn't count on it.

I'm starting to think this could be the case, LOL. The strep, the agent, the hamstring and now the Halloween thing. Things could be going better for old Peyton.

I was one of the people who said "the Cleveland curse laughs at the Madden curse"

Now I'm startin to think it was:

I don't think the Texans are willing to rush Andre Johnson back for this game. He is practicing and getting better everyday, however, soft tissue injuries are hard to get a grasp on. Hopefully the Texans learn from the Arian Foster hamstring issue in the preseason. They need to keep Andre Johnson on the bench until he is absolutely 100%.

The Browns need to worry about the Texans defense. Even without Mario Williams, they are playing lights out. They have played one bad quarter all year long. Brian Cushing may be having an All-Pro year. (He is actually thinner this year before the juice comments come out) Brooks Reid plays like his hair is on fire and JJ Watt is a true animal. The one thing the Browns need to do to attack the Texans defense is throw the ball at Karim Jackson. He struggles at times with giving too much cushion. (especially at the goal line)

Offensively, the Texan's big three (Schaub, Foster, Johnson) have only been on the field together for one quarter all year long. They happened to put up almost 200 yards on the Steelers in that quarter.

Browns fans, if you are in town, you will enjoy a very good NFL experience in a beautiful stadium. Find the orange lot and join a tailgate, you will be lightly harassed but are absolutely welcome. My tailgate is generally right in front of the east entrance to the Astrodome.

It's to the Browns advantage to keep Hillis 'day to day'... and keep everyone guessing.

I know it doesn't seem likely, but this game has kind of an "upset" feel to me....
Robiskie's release is addition by subtraction.

Maybe it will be one of those games the Browns pull out of their asses. Would be a nice surprise, but I am expecting an ass kicking similar to last Sunday.

Houston has too much for the Browns to handle. Foster isn't even up to speed from his injury (best is yet to come) from what I'm hearing. After he zips through the defense for a good three quarters then they will bring in Tate to punish the tired defense. I doubt Johnson plays (why should he) but if he does I'm confident Haden will do a good job on him. Owen Daniels & Foster out of the backfield should be the biggest receiving concerns.

As was mentioned, their defense is also playing at a VERY high level. They haven't missed a beat even with the loss of Mario Williams.

I have NO confidence in this offense. Shurmur has that "stay the course, don't care if we win or lose as long as we do it the traditional WCO way (limited to no shotgun to give McCoy a fighting chance)" mentality. Until he becomes a little flexible/creative, they will continue to lose and people will continue to bitch about "how bad the O-Line and WR's are" which isn't completely the case.
