Of course I'll be happy if we get him, but he could have done without the Twitter attention whoring BS.centralbucksfan;1082245 wrote:Forget that. This is a MUCH needed position. I'll trust that IF Meyer can reel him in, he will straighten him out and keep him on a short leash. THere are always a few you have to take a chance on.

First as a Buckeye alum and fan, I want this kid playing on Saturdays in the Shoe.
But if he chooses Maryland, great.
Lebron was supposed to stay in Cleveland and not go to the team with more talent because he was from Akron. But this kid is making the wrong decision if he stays close to home and plays? GTFO.
Finally, Im sticking with my prediction he's a Buckeye and he is the reason why we told Neal we were no longer interested.

I didn't have an issue with Lebron leaving Cleveland to go to a team with more talent. I had an issue with how he did it.bases_loaded;1082338 wrote:Lebron was supposed to stay in Cleveland and not go to the team with more talent because he was from Akron. And this kid has to make a decision for himself. He's 18 and probably has no idea what he wants. I don't blame him for taking the time to figure it out or even if he decides he wants to go somewhere else. Good luck to him.

Don't think I posted this here, pretty sure it was on bucknuts that I posted it.
Maryland has had 2 wr's drafted since 97.
31 players drafted since 2000.
Osu has had 14 wr's drafted and 71 players drafted since 2000.

Diggs doesn't seem like a kid that wants to play under the radar. I think it's TOSU or UF.

Yea, but he'll still be playing for Maryland, and nobody will hear anything about him outside of Maryland.

Tony Gerdman has a link on one of his Twitter posts where Neal says OSU stopped recruiting him because they weren't willing to wait till late Feb. for his decision. Lotz probably disagrees with Neal.

Diggs to Maryland. Says," What better place to win championships than in your city". I imagine that last statement was just for the lulz! I'll never hold it against a kid for wanting to play for his hometown team.

They stopped recruiting him because of his dad and because of Diggs and because he ran out of bounds I thought?

Can't fault diggs. Gotta believe family pressure played a huge part of him committing to Maryland. But good luck to him. Maryland fans are probably going crazy... But who the hell will throw him the ball??

I agree; if he wants to stay in his hometown that's understandable. There's a post on another buckeye site where Diggs said something to the effect of "what a better place to win championships than your hometown?" If this kid genuinely wanted to play in big time games; with championship possibilities, I feel he should have went to OSU, FLA, or Aub. Makes me kind of wonder about his commitment? t, Anyways, best of luck to him. More than likely we'll never have to worry about him. Plus... it's a scholy we can bank for next year.Midstate01;1082583 wrote:Can't fault diggs. Gotta believe family pressure played a huge part of him committing to Maryland. But good luck to him. Sucks they didn't get him but on the bright side it leaves another spot open for next year which could be an insanely good class even if it is undersized.

I can only imagine the pressure to choose which school to play for. My daughter is not an athelete and she is having a hard time deciding which college to choose next year. Sucks to not get him but he has to do what is best for him, even if it means playing D1 football on a smaller stage.
At least he didn't choose Florida, that would have really sucked.

He'll be a good one, if that knee is fully healed.

We didn't get him. Darn. But it's another scholarship for next year. Go get 'em, Urban! Heck of a class this year, already. Nothing to be ashamed of.

Right from the horse's mouth. OSU dropped Neal.
