Not to mention Diggs has always stuck to his original date, while Pryor changed it a few times.Automatik;1081640 wrote:This in no way compares to the hoopla came along with Terrelle Pryor's announcement.

If your not into recruiting it has no impact on you so stop bitching.Midstate01;1081636 wrote:No I mean the drama. Pryor was the same way. They just drag things out for the attention.
Look if u are big Ito following recruiting. Then it's fun. If you're not, then you think it's dumb. It's one or the other.

These post make it seem like you are bitching about the "drama" and "attention". It may be inconvenient for us if they don't sign right away but they are not all doing it for the attention. I'm surprised more people don't do it and I could see it happening more in the future. There is nothing wrong with taking as much time as they need to make a decision like this. If I took it the wrong way I apologize, but it seems like you are upset because he/they didn't make a decision the first day they are allowed.Midstate01;1081636 wrote:No I mean the drama. Well you're mistaken. But no worries. What I was saying is, there are kids: Pryor, Neal, diggs, who early make it clear they won't be signing on signing day. More and more, those kids make spectacles of their recruiting process. In some cases I understand you just wanna make the best decision. But it other cases, it seems like they just want ALL the attention.
Now I'll admit that some of that is our fault. We get so involved with the recruiting of 17 and 18 year olds.

yup, looks like he'll be wearing one of those ugly ass helmets for the next few years...fuck!!!Good Counsel Coach Bob Milloy has long said he prefers his players to stay close to home for college and he said that Maryland Coach Randy Edsall had made an impression on Diggs’s mother, Stephanie. While the Terps always were in the mix for Diggs, it is believed they made a late push after the hiring of offensive coordinator Mike Locksley, whose recruiting ties to the Washington area have been well documented. Diggs took an official visit to College Park this past weekend.

If Diggs doesn't come to OSU, I hope he goes to Maryland. I prefer kids to go to schools where they won't make teams that play on a national level any better.

Actually, that's not entirely true. I believe when Diggs was heading into his junior year (or maybe even senior year), he said he would announce on signing day.LJ;1081645 wrote:Not to mention Diggs has always stuck to his original date, while Pryor changed it a few times.

My apologies then. I agree some do make quite a spectacle of it, but some have decent reasons like Diggs who wanted to announce on his moms birthday. I can't really blame them for milking the attention at times though. I imagine it would be pretty cool to have the whole nation paying so much attention to you. Can't really blame some of them for enjoying themselves. They only person I really had a problem with was Bryce Brown, he was the ultimate embodiment of an attention whore.Midstate01;1081836 wrote:Well you're mistaken. But no worries. Kid is laying it on thick right now on twitter.
He is saying he still hasn't made a decision and a lot of people are going to be mad at him. Maybe even people from his own city.

Someone on another site said word is Maryland? It's all here and there with these conflicting reports. I'll just wait until his decision. If he chooses us, then great. If he doesn't, then it's another scholarship open for Urban's next recruiting class. I have a bad feeling that we're not getting Diggs.

Forget that. This is a MUCH needed position. I'll trust that IF Meyer can reel him in, he will straighten him out and keep him on a short leash. THere are always a few you have to take a chance on.Automatik;1082119 wrote:Hearing stuff like this kinda makes me want him to stay away from Columbus.

Who is at fault...the kid for setting a date and sticking to it. Or the adults that are stalking this kid to find out early and hes having a little fun with it?
