As has been long expected, Carlton Davis has decommitted to go to Auburn. OSU has already been recruiting Damon Arnette knowing for awhile that Davis was on his way out. They didn't even visit Davis last time they were in his area.

He's from here in the WC. TBH, I'm not even sure why UConn offered him.

That guy looks like a freak. All around athlete, hoping we can steal him away.

Gustin is Mike Mitchell on Crack as far as athlete.

If they somehow get him, prince and kj hill (who some say already committed), wow this class will be awesome. Even if Gibson goes elsewhere.

I just don't see Gibson not coming to Ohio State. He's a lock. Book it.

I agree. But if he goes elsewhere, so be it.
I've never understood the whole grown men getting upset over a teenager choosing a school. If they don't want to play for the national champion, compete for a spot, and for the best coach in the game, best of luck to you.

If were up to me I would rather play with a good team with guaranteed playing time versus rotting away on the bench like future NFL quarterback, Cardale Jones will be doing over the next 2 seasons.

Future NFL..like Jamarcus Russell ? Nothing is gauranteed. Especially at the QB position in the NFL. Many more busts than sure things at that position.

OSU flips CB Damon Arnette from the Gamecocks. He's #25 in the class.

I'd be surprised if Hill isn't OSU bound. Gustin would be quite a surprise, but not counting Urban out.

There's a guy on Twitter that seems to be close to the USC program(a lot of people asking him about USC recruiting), and he says Gustin called the USC coaches to inform them he has decided on Ohio State. Says his source is a USC assistant. That would be huge!

I think Ohio State gets him. The issue is he will ride the bench for a few years because this team is loaded. The only downside to having so much talent is you can't play everyone but what you can do is win multiple championships. No one is beating OSU next year and the years after that look even better.

Obviously this is putting the cart before the horse, but supposedly he's got a good chance of getting drafted very high in the mlb draft this year as a pitcher

He may not be on the bench long, Joey's spot will be open after this season. A future of Gustin and N. Bosa as bookends would be quite nice.

Oh I definitely want him to come here; he's a great piece. It's just with a team like Ohio State it's hard to appeal to the "you can play right away" type because we have plenty of talent people at each position. It's not like Michigan who gets 1 5-star player a decade who will start all 4 years with 4 losses to Ohio State. I don't know how Urban does it but he can both coach and recruit, which makes him the best coach in the country.

I actually disagree. It's like peak USC with Carroll when he'd get multiple 5 stars at a position who couldn't all play. Even if they don't play right away, they're given the chance to compete for playing time right away as opposed to automatically redshirting even though that position could be loaded with talent. That keeps your squarely in play for the "you can play right away types"

Urban isn't giving 5 star recruits penthouse apartments and Cadillacs. For all the talent Carroll brought in he never won a championship.

That's the dumbest possible response you could have come up with to my post. That has literally nothing to do with my point.

Urban's "the best player is going to play" mantra helps to recruit depth.
