I have felt like I had red bull and pixie sticks for breakfast all day. So excited yo head your way to see a great game. I think that stopping your run game will be the key as we have stumbled with that in the past. Even if your DB's are good in coverage, do you have 5 of them? Riley has come a long way since last season, and he spreads the ball around like a vegas card dealer. Have I mentioned I am a bit excited to get on the road? Just under 6 hrs till game time!
Ya I don't think Mooney's DBs are good because they are outstandingly talented, I think its good coaching and good technique. So its one of those things, no matter who you plug in, as long as they are doing what they are supposed to be doing, the system is sound.
How mobile is NW's QB? Because I am thinking he may be on the run all night, but he could do some damage if he can complete passes on the run. Even the best defenses can't hold good coverage forever and NW may need to rely on making something out of nothing a la Ben Roethlisberger to be good enough to beat Mooney.
Thanks for the compliment. I'm just so sick of "HS Football discussion boards" being anything but. Its all cheerleading and trash talking. I've come to the conclusion that most fans don't even really know enough about football or teams in general to add anything of substance to the conversation so it resorts to "There is no way NW can beat Mooney, my brother saw Mooney play and said they are sweet." I mean, if you don't know much about the opposing team, just ask, then you can use that reply to say "Well....their D-line may be pretty talented but....." It's how human adult discourse works.
