And four missed field goals in one game.tk421;959769 wrote:a 12 man in the huddle penalty and a sack have just cost Alabama a shot at the national title.
Is anyone really surprised that LSU won? I picked them based solely on the fact that the national championship game is in New Orleans this year.

So much for the "obvious 2 best teams int he nation" Maybe on defense, but certainly not offense. That was a pathetic offensive showing

Defense wins titles. No? Did you expect a high scoring game between teams that give up 6 points and 11 points a game and 2 weeks to prepare?Hb31187;959803 wrote:So much for the "obvious 2 best teams int he nation" Maybe on defense, but certainly not offense. That was a pathetic offensive showing

Be honest though, neither of those teams have a great QB. And there were a lot of head-scratching moments.

Not as exciting of a game, but these 2 teams are better than OSU/UM from 06.Hb31187;959808 wrote:Oh, and as far as compared to the OSU/Mich game...this didnt even hold a candle to it

excellent point. I just can't picture this being the best two teams in college football. I know they have good defenses, but missed field goals, retarded penalties and other shenanigans make me wonder.GoJPM!;959818 wrote:Psssst......go turn your clocks back one hour. You have seen in the first 8 games what type of offenses these teams have. Smoked ORE, WVU, PSU, AUB etc. Maybe its just that these teams defenses are unreal?Hb31187;959825 wrote:On defense maybe

Those 2 teams do not even come close to matching OSU/MIchigans offense that year. Besides Richardson, honestly hwo many position players do you think will be playing on sundays from this game on offense?
