The Zanesville Times recorder has reported Jack Hanna saying that at least 31 animals have been shot and killed.

EDIT: I think it's up to 35 now...

Maybe I'm just an insensitive prick, but it doesn't bother me at all that the animals are being shot and killed.

Well, obviously. Whose parents don't have a zebra hide a the crib.

What else are they gonna do with them? Zoos don't just randomly take animals. The only other option is to put them back in the hands of a privately run "rescue".

The Sheriff's Department can throw one hell of a wild game dinner if they wanted. Nice little fundraiser.

I mean it's not like this is a bunch of dogs running wild or domesticated animals. These are WILD animals. If they were running wild in Africa and they were all killed, I would be willing to bet a TON of money that most people wouldn't have a problem with it.

I'm sure Zebra's are no different than Wild Horses, which can be very dangerous.

Zanesville just made Colin Cowheard on ESPNRadio!!! Woohoo!!!

He said Zanesville is also known for one of the worst tornadoes in history, he said, "Just google 'Zanesville Ohio tornado."' He also referenced the Y Bridge as the only bridge in North America where you can cross a bridge and end up on the same side of the river.

Latest update said they believe they are down to only three animals unaccounted for, a bear, a mountain lion and a monkey. Jack Hanna also said they had no other option last night but to shoot to kill, but sounds like he is hoping to capture the last of them without killing them if possible.

Ohio has some of the most lenient laws in the country on maintaining exotic animals...wanna bet that's gonna change real quick under Gov. Kasich?

The law was only reversed as an eff you to HSUS. See what extremist groups can do to a state

Without getting too political, apparently he let an executive order regarding it that had been done by Strickland expire. The question is whether this will make him change his mind.

No the historical tornado is being changed from Xenia to Zanesville because Colin Cowherd is never wrong.

Kasich advisor Jai Chariba's wife has called Muskingum Cnty Law Enforcement "morons" for shooting the escaped animals. That will play real well at the polls in three weeks as folks vote on SB5.

sidebar...what kind of advice is Kasich getting from a guy named Jai Cariba?
