Not better, but people will say they are...

It's hard to just say "better." In the NBA, I'd rather have a dominant point guard when I consider value, so I think some of those other guys are "more valuable" which is how I made my list over 10.

I agree with most of this list, but Rondo, Wall and Evans, Westbrook, Griffin......no. Maybe one day though, they all have the ability.

Lebron
Kobe
Durant
Dirk
CP3

Other players listed may be "better" but IMO those are the only ones more talented.

Azu, I normally respect your opinion, but to have 'Melo outside your top 15 is just asinine and ignorant. You need to watch him play more.

That's my list of players that I rank as better NBA players ahead of him. Not saying talent or scoring but I'm not a melo fan.

Not surprised you value Melo so much though, being as you're a short shrimp you havent ever been able to play the game. lol probably picked last in pick up games behind the taller girls. Since you got abused on the court on the defensive side you probably only value 3 pointers since that was all you were able to do.

Lebron, wade, cp3, kobe, dirk, Howard durant, are 7 players that I think are clearly better.

Melo is a top 3 player when considering only offense, his defense is so poor it drops him overall into that second teir of guys. I put him somewhere between 7-15

There are very few players in the NBA that have the versatile inside/outside game like Melo. I had a hard time thinking of 10 better players based on talent alone.

I always wondered why Melo gets harassed for "not playing defense" while Durant is praised for being basically the exact same type of player

I think Durant is more well rounded in other aspects. He is a better passer, ball handler and rebounder. Doesnt play much defense either (like Melo), but I like his offensive game a lot more.
