Maybe me tryin' to get some points back since admitting to watching Ellen for a minute, anyone watching the Bathurst 1000 on Speed tonight?

Pretty much NASCAR on acid.

This is a serious race. 1000 miles on a 6 mile course. Reminds me of something out of Speed Racer. The Aussie V-8 touring cars make the NASCAR COTs look silly.

The Mount Panorama Circuit is a 6k long track, almost 4 miles long. Interesting it's actually a public road when not racing. They also have the Bathurst 12 hour race at this track.

I agree the COT looks silly (COT is a POS) compared to the Aussie v8 super cars.

Ha, ha. Race is in kilometers, my bad. Still that is a badass course and seems remarkably narrow. Last lap was wild. Those cars are on par with the German DTM cars, which are super quick too.

BTW, the Aussie V-8s will be coming to the new Circuit of Americas in Austin, Texas (new home of the US Grand Prix F1 race starting next season) in 2013.
