The Bionic has Zumocast, and the RAZR will have Motocast. Both are Motorola owned applications that essentially turn your personal computer into a cloud. You download an application to your computer (free of charge) and sign up for an account. As long as your computer is on and connected to the internet, you are able to access files, music, pictures, movies that are on your computer and stream them to your phone. The difference between Zumocast and Motocast is that Motocast integrates into your phone. With the Bionic, if you want to utilize the music on your computer, you can only do it through the Zumocast app. With Motocast, those files just pop up automatically in your music folder on your phone. So it's all the joys of a cloud, without any of the worry of your data getting compromised.

Siri is a pretty cool app. I haven't found anything on Android that beats it. I found an app called "SpeakToIt Assistant" but it is not as intuitive as Siri is.

No, there is nothing comparable to Siri.

Android phones have a nice recognition app, but it is not entailed into the entire OS like Siri. Siri also has a personality. It's hard to explain how great Siri is until you actually play around with it.

Also, the great thing about iCloud is, your computer DOES NOT HAVE TO BE ON OR CONNECTED.

Everything is already in the cloud. The one downfall is, it only displays what has been purchased through or authorized on iTunes right now. Movies and music.

I have heard this argument many times before. I laugh each time. When I am not home, my laptop is plugged in. I have it set so that I can close the lid, and the computer remains on and connected to the internet. No harm at all.

When I had a desktop, I never turned it off. I would always just turn off the monitor to conserve energy.

So why is it an issue to have your computer on and connected at home?

Never said it was an issue, but I have a laptop as my only computer, so it's not always on. For instance, when I'm at work or away from home, why would I leave it on?

I never have my computer connected anymore. My laptops are so old/ancient that the barely run. When I try to fire them up, they take FOREVER to load. Thus, I would love to be able to access my data/files without having to be concerned with having my laptop(s) on.

If your laptops take forever to load up when you fire them up, wouldn't that be more of a reason to leave them on at all times? You know, to eliminate the whole firing up part of the equation. Just a thought.

Going to be tough deciding between the RAZR and Nexus. The Nexus is apparently underclocked, so it will easily be rommed up to 1.5+ (though I don't know why you'd need to). For me it's going to come down to durability, build quality and call quality of the RAZR vs. the Nexus camera that is supposedly comparable in quality to the IPhone. Not big on pictures, so probably leaning toward the RAZR.

The smart settings are nice for the RAZR (for the life of me I don't know why Google hasn't integrated that into Android) - but I've already been rocking Locale for well over a year (and it's one of the big advantages of Android, IMO). Underclocking when not under load is another no-brainer - battery life savings are huge (again, you don't need Moto to provide that but you did have to be rooted in the past).

I am a bit interested in flashing roms on the Nexus, but my feeling is the RAZR will have that sooner rather than later. Either way, I'm ready for a new phone!

Someone at Google must have Cyanogenmod loaded on their phones. There are a couple ideas that seem to come from them.

The camera speed is crazy.

Hopefully they release the source for ICS soon so it can get ported to my galaxy tab. This looks really smooth and more polished than past versions of Android.

Hard to tell where ideas in the rom community come from without looking at credits. All the good ideas get integrated and shared across most roms.

Some nice stuff. Nothing earth-shattering if you've been running custom roms, but a lot of enhancements - and stock now.

Facial recognition too, although it malfunctioned at the demonstration (along with voice-to-text). Oops. Still pretty solid but will lag Siri for a while, more than likely.

Assuming the call quality is good, I think the camera will push me toward the Nexus (who am I kidding, I need vanilla android so I can get the latest months before VZW pushes updates). I've just grown so tired and frustrated with the limited ram in the Droid that Nov10 can't get here soon enough.

My laptops are just slow all around. I think I just really need to invest in a new one soon. My first priority, however, is a new cell phone, then iPad 3, then I'll worry about a laptop.

If you get the Bionic or RAZR, Moto is coming out with a few new lapdocks ($200 for 10.1" screen, and $300, I think, for 15"). Basically just a shell but you hook-up your Droid and it mirrors everything, and then you have a high-speed internet connection with LTE.

Not a bad option if you're looking to save a few bucks. Depends on if you need the computer for more than browsing and something like Google Docs.

Haha this is pretty much how I feel as well. All I know is I'm going with the Nexus or RAZR not even looking at the Bionic anymore.

Same here. Very similar in specs, not sure the build "quality" is an issue...comes down to what is likely a better phone (for calls) from Moto vs. what some are calling the best camera on any phone. LOL, if I didn't already have a laptop and a tablet I might be considering that RAZR for the lapdock coming out shortly.

Can't go wrong with either phone. Display is pushing me toward the Nexus also. Like I said, RAZR has some nice features but I don't think anything I can't already do being rooted and with a few different apps.

I don't see the Nexus being $400 or $450 under contract but it wouldn't surprise me with VZW in the mix. I see it being priced like all the other current 4g phones on VZW's lineup at $299.

I think that will be the case as well.

My main concern is the Nexus will be too big. I won't be able to get to the whole screen with one hand. I am leaning toward the Nexus right now because it doesn't have the bloatware, it has the 720 screen, the better processor and 4.0. The toughness and personal cloud are advantages for motorloa, I just can't wait to get my hands on them side by side.

Yeah if they charge over $300 for the Nexus, then I can guarantee you I will not be purchasing that phone - seeing as how there appear to be comparable phones that are priced at or less than $300.

No reason it should be more as they did cut some corners (no SD card, no HDMI out but supposedly the USB thingy that does the same, camera is better but 5mp is a bit cheaper). My point about the potential to cost more is that it supposedly is retailing for in the UK for $800.
