Cdevil 25 years!!! thats along time was there a period the two schools did not play? They had 19 turnovers going into the 4th and ended the game with 21. So you are right, that why they were so productive in the 4th and OT.

Carey must limit its turnovers tonight. I don't know if the Devils have enough offensive production from the entire team to get the win, but I was pleasantly surprised with the effort at Wynford.

Yes, this may be a game to see if they are contenders right now but this Carey team is fairly young outside of a couple players. Its early in the season, this team will only get better over time. So if they win or lose tonight I am not going to put much stock into the game unless its a blowout either way.

The Courier says Carey lost 50-44 which I thought would happen somewhere between 5-10 points. The team will still be in the title hunt but playing NR early doesn't help when you are trying to incorporate new pieces against a good, deep veteran team like NR.
I've said before that Tong will need to step up for Carey if they want to be effective this year and 2 points will not do it against NR. Chapman had 17 points while Dennis had 14 points and 12 rebounds, no one else for Carey score more than 5 points.
NR had 17 from Kinn, Schalk and Dillon both had 10 points and 9 boards each.

so far the league has had many surprises to it. calvert losing their first 2 league games. SJCC being 2-0 in conference play. it will definitely be an exciting year

Old Fort beats Bettsville. Let's see.... two wins in almost three years. Both against Bettsville. I wonder if Bettsville still thinks that they are going to have a shot at the top few spots in the MAL this year? Seeing the fact they are 0-3 in the MAL and they haven't played any of the the top teams of the league yet ...I think that reality is setting in real quick.

After driving two hours to see one of the best match ups in the league with the two best players, Kin and Dennis I was very dissapointed. I feel the refs. took both players out of their game early. On both Kin and Dennis the fouls they called were cheap. It made the rest of the teams play and NR out played Carey. I can not beleive Carey only had 15 turnovers, it looked like alot more than that. It still was a good game to watch, very close all the way. Chapman looked good going to the hole. Good luck to both teams I hope they both can win out and meet back up in post season.

I don't know how the Crimson Streaks keep doing it, but they definately will keep you entertained for a night. I had the opportunity to watch them play Calvert and they feed off the excitement. Good to see our friends at St. Joe doing well early on. Living on the edge, but fun to watch them play. Wish you nothing but success Streaks!
