Fickell only knows how to function playing Tresselball, and that option was taken away when Miami got the ball.

Again, my interpretation.
I partially agree, but it still doesn't change the fact we couldn't complete a pass. We moved the ball just fine when Jordan Hall was running but Hyde and Smith coudln't explode through the hole the same way. We would have been better off putting braxton in some sort of wildcat mode and ran it all day so we didn't work Hall so hard.

To be honest: we tried very few passes with Miller until we'd already conceded the game. Once he made some mistakes, they went back to Bauserman.

Offensively, OSU didn't have a clue what they wanted to do once they got behind, Miller had made a few mistakes, and Bauserman wasn't effective. They were all but paralyzed.

Most have forgotten that Fickell was only supposed to be "Head Coach" at Ohio State for FIVE DAYS. The first FIVE Saturdays of the season. ALL OTHER days of the season he would be doing his regular job, Tressel was the REAL head coach the other 360 days of the year. Fickell was not supposed to make any practice decisions. Fickell was not supposed to make any depth chart decisions. Fickell was not supposed to make any game planning decisions. Fickell was NOT supposed to make any in game offensive or defensive decisions. After those FIVE DAYS as head coach Fickell was supposed to go back to his normal coaching duties. Then came the forced retirement, before summer camp. So the FIVE DAY "head coach" HAD TO BECOME the interim Head Coach, through no fault of his own.

Then came the forced retirement, before summer camp. So the FIVE DAY "head coach" HAD TO BECOME the "interim" Head Coach, through no fault of his own.

If Tressel was "fired" in January does ANYONE think Fickell would be the Head Coach now? Does ANYONE even think Fickell would have been on the short list? Does ANYONE think Fickell would have even gotten an interview? Hell, if there was a REAL new head coach at Ohio State now, Fickell probably wouldn't even be an assistant at Ohio State. That new Head Coach would have brought in HIS assistant coaches and coordinators.

Jamaal Berry possibly out Saturday, due to "unknown health issue".

[LEFT]The report said Berry "appeared confused and disoriented and was unable to tell me his name."

The OSU police officer on the scene observed that Berry was "mentally unable to provide me with any of his emergency contact information," and Berry voluntarily went to the OSU emergency department....... Kinda scary

Read this Lantern article and see if you got the same thing out of it as me. Sounds like he beat someone up and then couldn't remember who he was or why he did it?

And oh yeah, thug!

It's just like Jefferson's situation. Only Berry is the one getting medical attention and no legalaction is being taken.

Hopefully he's okay. And if it turns out he was shitfaced and that's why he couldn't remember his name and where he was then he should get the same thing Jefferson gets.

Some rumors are saying he had a bad reaction to a new medication and no punches were thrown. Seems like an odd thing to do, randomly jump on someone's back and wrestle them to the ground at 10am on the south oval. Either way hope he figures it out soon. He is at least valuable in kick returns.

Also read that Kenny Guiton will be on the field tomorrow on kick off coverage...

Was it actual medication for Berry, or weed? I know he got busted with weed back in HS, so it can obviously be an issue with him

Not sure again, just rumors. I doubt we will ever know.

Surprised a lot of you have Ohio State scoring in the 30's. I would fall out of my chair if Ohio State scores that many points.

Hopefully I am wrong but I think Michigan State wins this one. This is a significant step up in competition from even Miami in my opinion. Miller will struggle and we will be very ready for Boom and Posey to be back next week.

What a bad take. People that know are reporting he had a reaction to new medication he just went on. I am sure you will hear nothing more due to the obviously very personal nature of the situation. He’s not in any trouble.

I don't know how many OSU fans are expecting them to score in the 30s, but I'm not one of them. I'll be happy with a win, no matter what the score or how it's achieved. Even though OSU is giving 3 points, I really don't see them as favorites in this game based on QB experience (or lack of it) alone.

You really are a jackoff sometimes. Can you even read?

"An athletic department spokesman said Berry was undergoing tests at the OSU Medical Center in an attempt to find out what might have triggered the incident.
“Nothing has been identified so far, but they are continuing to evaluate him,” the spokesman said. “There are NO legal issues.”

He thinks he was being funny. Some things you just don't joke about, and a kid's health is in that mix, in my view.

Also I don't think weed would make you assault a guy. Must've been something else. So strange.

Well done. Reps for you.

Yeah, unless the weed was laced with PCP or something there's no way he's losing touch with reality and attacking a random guy.
