Anyone else looking forward to the Blockbuster announcement today?


Netflix has been pissing me off lately (haven't received a movie in the mail in lik 8 days because EVERYTHING I want is long wait or very long wait). Plus the obious price hikes and splitting the company into streaming and DVD.

Blockbuster teaming up with Dish Network to offer what will probably be a comprehensive package of streaming, dvd/blu rays by mail and in store exchanges. Plus the fact that Blockbuster does not have to wait 4 weeks to release a lot of new releases.

Give me unlimited streaming with an equal or better selection than Netflix, plus 1 blu ray out at a time with in store exchanges for somewhere around $15 and I'll jump ship.

Major opportunity, major failure.

It sounds like it is a bundled package with Dish, not available to non-Dish subscribers.
