2. 80+ is not that high of a fastball for a strong armed HS/college player. Yes, an average pitcher in HS will throw mid to high 70s, that means a strong armed guy will throw 80+. Also, I am not sure if most people on here were even pitchers, just because you have a strong arm and can throw hard, doesn't mean you are a pitcher (case in point me, I sucked as a pitcher).
3. Playing multiple positions in HS is NOT that uncommon especially since most pitchers in HS are also position players. I was the guy on our team that was in the lineup no matter what due to my bat, but wasn't amazing at any one position but was enough of an athlete that I could play them all (except pitcher, and 1B because I am short). Freshman year I only played OF, but from sophomore through senior year throughout the season I did play every position except 1B and P. I typically played one of the 3 OFs or 3B, but also played C, SS, and 2B. This is NOT uncommon, heck even colleges and MLB teams have "utlity" guys that play multiple positions.
