Maybe, but there isn't a lot of substance to the argument with Cincy because they are a BCS team anyway. This whole thing with Congress started with teams like Utah, Boise, etc. not getting a cut of the pie. Cincy is going to get its money and though they're portrayed much like one of those mid-major teams, I don't think many people outside Cincy care to use them as an example of what is wrong.LJ wrote:Honestly a lot rests on how Cincy does against Florida. If UF absolutely destroys UC, look for this talk to subside again. If UC wins, this bill will probably pass and be signed.enigmaax wrote:This is exactly why anyone who is trying to protect the system should have encouraged TCU's participation in the title game this year. It'd have been tough to pick them over Alabama or Texas, but the way things shook out didn't help with the heat they're going to continue to get from Congress. Had TCU made it in, the discussion would be over because they'd say, "See, the little guy DOES have a chance".BCSbunk wrote: Non AQ teams have no chance of playing in the BCS championship game to me that is no choice at all.
