Yeah I honestly haven't really been keeping up until today. I was under the impression it would be significantly weaker by the time it got up here. Then they are showing fuckers in Jersey and Long Island boarding up their windows!

I'm staying the hell out of Manhattan. I have about 10 bars within a half mile radius. I'm not going anywhere lol

Yeah I don't blame ya. That's your safest bet.

And same here on the ignorance of this hurricane...I thought it was just gonna be rainy saturday night haha...I didn't think it was gonna be this ​bad.

So the NY post just posted on FB that evacuation decisions will be made Saturday at 8am? I turned it off...was he talking Jersey? This is nuts.

Yeah at the very end of the press conference someone asked a question "is there a possibility of a city evacuation?"

He goes "do not be suprised and shocked if saturday you wake up and the city is being evacuated. It's a very real possibility if the storm hits NYC the way it looks like its gonna hit"

I'm thinking the NYC stuff is all hype.....it will die down. Lets hope.

Yeah lets hope..I'm thinking they're doing all this as a precaution so that if another katrina did happen in nyc, they can say "i told ya so"

Just talked to lil brother, he's stationed at Cherry Point MCAS in Havelock, NC and they are projecting the eye to go right over Morehead City which is only about 15 miles from him. Their planes have been moved to Texas already.

Damn storm sounds like it's gonna affect a lot of people. I heard there could be a lot of glass blowing around from windows blowing out in sky scrapers in many cities. NYC is right in it's track. Atlantic City could get hit with a big storm surge.

Obviously the higher you go up in buildings the worse the winds and blowing thru all the buildings will magnify the winds even more. Also if you gotta stay get some solar lights put them outside to charge bring them in when needed for long lasting light.

DC isn't going to get much. Right now, it is just steady rain and some wind. That will pick up to 2-4" of rain and winds from 40-60mph.
Though, southern VA and now Ocean City MD are starting to get nailed.
I've got a bottle of whiskey and a six pack of Sam octoberfest, I'm ready.
