My stupid wife talked me out of getting one.

"Would you rather have this for $100 now or save that $100 and put it towards the iPad 3 when it comes out? Also, we need to spend $90 on flea/heartworm medication for our dog."

Email from Datavis (ebay) says they are going to start shipping at the end of the week. They had over 8000 orders almost instantly with people ordering 10, 50, and 100 Touchpads at a time. They said they are not canceling any orders but they are only going to ship one per customer this week then the rest of the orders will be filled immediately after.

Got the 16gb delivered from best buy yesterday. All I've done is use the internet but it's for my wife anyway. Any other good uses for this? All she wanted was something light to get on facebook, etc at night when I'm on the laptop.

I've used it for a few minutes. It's ok, definitely no iPad though. It feels a little sluggish, but I'm downloading the updates now, do we'll see if that helps.

I think I'd be pissed if I spent 4 or 500, but it's a great deal at $99.

on mine now.....a steal at this price, a good buy around 200ish i'd say. As for what else to do on it, games and internet is all
I'll be using it for....can prob stream some video too.

did you mean screen protector? I have one on the way from handhelditems.com, but won't be here for a few days...I'm guessing it will help a bit with the fingerprints -- It was like $7 shipped.

I have also heard some pretty cool things about people being able to dualboot Ubuntu along with Web OS on these things... Also, people are getting Android OS on them now.

People are bidding on these things in the 200-300 range on ebay. People who snapped up a bunch and resold are making some serious profits.

People paying $300 for these things are idiots.

The best screens for stuff like this are anti-glare/matte screens. They tend to be more pricey, but you can typically find them on eBay for cheap.
