I think I've heard about a golf course in Northern Michigan (perhaps the Traverse City area) that has 18 holes that are replicas of holes at more famous golf courses. Has anyone else heard of this and know what the name of the course is? I haven't had much luck (I admit with minimal effort) with Google. I appreciate your help.

Perhaps if I had been looking in the right state it would have worked. Does anyone know of a course like this in Michigan?

Not a replica course but "The Bear"-Grand Traverse Resort is a Jack Nicklaus course and is very very nice.
