Anyone grow up reading comics, spider-man has just become another victim of our politically correct society. The creator also states that it is time for a black and gay Spider-man. We tried the Black President, things don't look to be working out to good with that experiment, so now we will try the Black/Latino Superhero and see what he can destroy. They say he will have different super powers compared to the original white Spider-man, I wonder what his super powers will be.

Did we actually steal him, or did he defect and seek asylum to our side.

Well, one is completely pretend, so I'm pretty sure that if the creator doesn't want him to mess up, he won't mess up.

Also, I'm really not sure Obama's skin tone has anything to do with however good or bad he is as a president.

I'm not big into comics but from all the stories I've read, this is from the "Ultimate" storyline from Marvel. Your white Peter Parker is still Spiderman in the regular Marvel line of comics so you can relax.

Obama is real, haven't you watched the news lately?
I agree, the skin tone has nothing to do with him being a joke.

Not at all. I could care less what color a comic book superhero is in all reality, but I do think Obama is a joke and should have never been elected, he was elected based on the color of his skin and now everyone pays for it.

You may not be a racist, but your post was. You basically said that we tried a black president, it didn't work, so let's now ignore an entire segment of the population for consideration as president in the future based on the color of their skin. That may not have been what you meant, but it is what you said.

Also, was it really necessary to start a thread about a comic book character and make it about politics?

I said "one is." If Obama doesn't sound right, then try the "other one."

Exactly. We could choose to simply judge our president based on the content of his character or on his ability as an executive, but he made it a racial issue when he brought up the color of his skin.

Password is right about Obama but wrong about how he said it. I believe he didn't mean to come off as racist but I obviously can see how it sounded that way. As far as the super hero thing goes I could care less about them changing colors as long as it's in the alternate timeline or universe. It's nothing to do with race to me. Just don't think you should change things like that.

Other way around. The Green Lantern was originally white, and then they turned him black with reboot.
