Cue OneBuckeye QQing about the thread being fucked up, even though he easily could have resisted the temptation to provide the last word with this petty remarks and move on with the movie discussion, since it was already back on discussion.

Anyway the Jack Black movie does not intrigue me at all.

LMFAO, you are still talking about this? Hypocrisy at it's best.

Once again, trying to get back on topic. Thanks.

OMGZ, the internet had people changing quotes. The humanity!!!!! Also, MB changed commander of awesome to commander of NOT awesome. You should bitch and moan about that too. Get over yourself.

As to the point, hollywood today is about 3-d movies and that's it. I haven't gone to the theater in forever, and I don't plan too until Abe comes out. Although, I wouldn't be surprised if they made that 3-d and i've got Abe's big fucking bush beard coming at my face for 3 hours.

As long as people decide to be idiots and buy the tickets, it won't stop anytime soon.

Just wait until Ferngully 2 and 3 errrrr Avatar 2 and 3 come out.

I think a lot of people would put up The Artist with SIL, English Patient and Hurt Locker of forgettable Oscar winners - doesn't mean they weren't good.

Read fail. Jesus guys, is this amateur hour tonight.

I agree. When a movie comes out with both options, like avengers, I choose the non 3D.

Same here. As I have said before Avatar was the last movie I paid the 3D price for that was worth it.

S&L made it personal. The rest was just piling on. Just pointing out the continued nonsense Justin says he is trying to clean up. No felz hurt.

The worst part about 3D is that scenes are now made to look good in 3D rather than fit well into the movie. Cinematography, action scenes and even the story can suffer.

Avatar was the only movie (and last for me) where the 3D was worth it.

Prometheus had very well done 3D. As long as it's shot in 3D and they don't pull stupid "we'll make it seem like the axe is flying through the screen!" shit then it does give nice depth to things. Fuck movies that aren't shot in 3D that they add it in after though.

First of all OB, remove the "object" out of your mouth. Secondly, are you talking about posts like Trueblue's that justin is trying to clean up? The same Trueblue that is a moderator? Or at least at one point was..

I'm strongly considering it. It's at a dollar theater so that is tight but it's a 35 mile trip one way. How long is Goodman in it?

Manhattan Buckeye;1198184 wrote:"The point is you are contradicting yourself. You are only using critic ratings when it plays in your favor"

Some films that had good ratings (The Muppets) aren't very good.

Some films that had poor ratings (The Usual Suspects) are very good.

Where is the contradiction?

Do you guys even read your own posts? The only reason I got pissy was because I got pissed on for using a word longer than two syllables.

Jesus. Can we get back to movies?
You aren't talking about the most recent one are you? Because I thought that was enjoyable.

I saw Prometheus last night and thought it was pretty good. My only complaint is that i wasn't a fan of how they tied it into the Alien series. Seemed halfass.

YEah no kidding, theres a reason he's called John GOATman. I still think the best supporting actor oscar award should be called the John Goodman award.
