Watched Midnight in Paris, disappointing from the hype, was a decent movie, witty at times, lacking most of the time. Maybe a C-. Not impressed with any movie this past year except Dragon Tatoo which was pretty good, but I liked the original foreign verison better.

I take it the acting is really good in Descendants? I just read a synopsis of the movie because I was thinking about going to see it and it doesn't sound that interesting.

You watched twilight and enjoyed it. You have lost all credibility. Nice fail though.Scarlet_Buckeye;1070009 wrote:Girl with the Dragon Tattoo not on your list? #Dumb.

Too risky for him to not use condoms...with how prevalent aids is in the homosexual community and all

Saw chronicle last night. Started off pretty cool, but really tailed off and got almost laughable.

I watched it yesterday also. I thought it was alright. I also only paid 5.50 to see it though.wes_mantooth;1074900 wrote:Saw chronicle last night. Started off pretty cool, but really tailed off and got almost laughable.

This isn't a new movie and I'm really not sure how I never stumbled onto it before, but if you like hilariously, almost unwatchably bad movies then you need to check out Birdemic: Shock and Terror immediately.

Has anyone seen the latest trailer for The Amazing Spider Man?! Looks unbelievably sweet. This reboot could be possibly as good as Batman Begins. At least it looks like it has a lot of potential.

When I saw the synopsis for Moonrise Kingdom in the most anticipated movies of 2012 list I wasn't interested but I caught a preview for it yesterday and it actually looks interesting. I thought it was Coen Brothers' movie after the preview but apparently it's not.

Having Emma Stone and Denis Leary could make this a decent movie. Not chomping at the bit to see it.Scarlet_Buckeye;1078071 wrote:Has anyone seen the latest trailer for The Amazing Spider Man?! Agreed, the trailer was underwhelming to me...so it is a bit darker than the Raimi films, I get that and could like it. But is a reboot necessary after only 9 years from the first film?Raw Dawgin' it;1078546 wrote:Having Emma Stone and Denis Leary could make this a decent movie. Not chomping at the bit to see it.

Yes; because they completely dropped the ball with Spider-Man 3.Manhattan Buckeye;1079303 wrote:Agreed, the trailer was underwhelming to me...so it is a bit darker than the Raimi films, I get that and could like it. But is a reboot necessary after only 9 years from the first film?

FIFY. Trailer looks terrible IMO. The actor looks the part, but the acting was noticeably bad in the trailer. Also Emma Stone looks terrible with the dyed hair, never understood why directors do that shit. They'll change big aspects of the original content's story, but they'll make sure the character has the same fucking hair color from the comic book. SMH, Hollywood doesn't have a clue some times.Scarlet_Buckeye;1079411 wrote:Yes; because they completely dropped the ball with Spider-Man Franchise.

I'll probably wait for this on netflix, same with the avengers...just tired of the comic book movies. The only one i want to see in the dark knight rises. I'm nervous the hype will raise my expectations too much though. But i think after batman they should retire comic book movies.

Agree completely. They're all fairly terrible outside of the first Iron Man and Batman films. CGI bad acting corny messes.Raw Dawgin' it;1079484 wrote:I'll probably wait for this on netflix, same with the avengers...just tired of the comic book movies.

I agree there are definitely comic book movies that are better than others, but I like the corny ones too. They're comic book movies for crying out loud.Commander of Awesome;1079552 wrote:Agree completely. They're all fairly terrible outside of the first Iron Man and Batman films.
