Technically, it's a preview game, because the OHSAA says it is to be one.
[FONT="]A Jamboree is a third preseason football contest. It is intended to be conducted during the final three days of two-a –day practice sessions and serve as a “dress rehearsal” for the upcoming regular season game(s). In an ideal world, the game would be played in accordance with NFHS playing rules, i.e. four quarters, complete kicking game, regular clock rules and should involve all aspects of the football Friday Night experience. But that's just semantics. It's the third freaking scrimmage. You're still working out some kinks, but by and large you know what you have from the first two, which is why the OHSAA forces a "Mock Game" format upon the jamboree, because it's the next logical progression. While the teams still may run conservatively, you're still going to see a lot in a third scrimmage run in regulation format.
Obviously the fans of the side who are underwhelmed with their team are going to make excuses, and the team that should have lost is going to probably have their heads held way too high for week 1, but such is life.
