It should be clarified that, biblically, it is not a sin to "be gay". But it is a sin (biblically) to engage in homosexual sex, in the same way that it's a sin to engage in premarital sex, or adulturous sex, etc.
Christians who say or do hateful things toward gays are not Christ-like at all. Fairwood, I think you're unfairly directing your anger at Jesus Christ (calling him a fraud), when in fact the hurt you've experienced has been at the hands of sinful human beings.

I don't have time to cite statistics, but PFOX (Parents and Friends of Ex Gays) and Exodus International are two ministries that have influenced thousands of homosexuals to leave the gay lifestyle.
I wouldn't worry about a potential President Bachmann instituting far-reaching policies against gays. It took President Clinton and a majority in both Houses to enact DADT. How she and her husband handle their ministry is far different from how a President goes about accomplishing a political agenda.
