I still like our position to qualify, but damn that sucked. Need to get a point at home against Mexico.

Anytime Mexico loses, it's a goo day...despite our loss.

Honestly, a point was what we wanted and a loss is not a surprise. Just sucked we didn't play well. Beat Mexico, all is good. Heck, if other results go a certain way, a win Tuesday might put Mexico in 5th place!!!

Jozy should've sat. He just got healthy for Sunderland. No need to rush him into it. That's my opinion.

Besler has to miss Mexico too.

Ugly match. Hate to end the win streak this way. USMNT had 8 players on yellows with potential to miss the Mexico match. Costa Rica had 10 guys on yellows to miss their next match. In the end, thank you Honduras.
I sure hope the US comes out with more energy on Tuesday than they did last night. CR just simply out played them. What exactly happened to Bradley, and how bad is it. They were really missing him last night? Also, LOL: http://deadspin.com/u-s-and-mexico-b...ium=socialflow
Bradley rolled his ankle, supposedly. The injury was really downplayed, but it's hard to tell.

I've never been to a national team game before. Any idea on how the atmosphere is in Columbus for when they play games like this? I'm debating going up to Columbus just to tailgate and hang out.

I can't speak for Columbus, but the tailgate here in DC for the Germany/USA friendly had a great atmosphere and was a lot of fun. Since is a World Cup qualifier against Mexico, I'm sure the atmosphere will be great in Columbus.

It's a lot of fun. It can get kind of rowdy due to all the local Mexican Nationals.

It will be amazing.

When the Mexican Americans talk shit, just offer to let them go home if they hate America. Then the remember the shithole they came from and shut the fuck up.

I remember the last qualifier vs Mexico at Crew Stadium. The crowd was raucous.

It was cold and rainy and the Mexican squad was visibly affected by the weather.

Awesome. Sounds like it should be a good time.

In an unrelated note, I love reading about premier league history and stumbled upon this gem:

http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cleveland_Stokers

Apparently stoke city fc played a season as Cleveland's soccer team back in the 60s. I think I just found a connection to stoke. I've always had a hard time arbitrarily picking out a epl team to support. Think I'm a potter fan now lol.

That's good info. I need a new club to support. When I started following EPL in 2003ish I was a Portsmouth fan. It may be time to let that dream die, though.

Go for Stoke City! Cleveland's soccer team!

I can't wait for FIFA 14 to come out so I can start a Portsmouth manager career mode. I love taking teams like that with a rich history and trying to work my way back into the premier league. They are so intriguing since they just got relegated to the fourth tier and have been in such financial disarray lately.
