If they release Peyton, Luck should demand a trade to New York(or San Fran).wildcats20;1056359 wrote:Colts fire Caldwell.

If Tress gets hired at Indy, would the Colts fanbase grow by epic proportions in the state of Ohio? I imagine the blue sweater vest with a horshoe would be available for purchase everywhere.Automatik;1057099 wrote:Tress will interview for Indy job according to 11W.

Absolutely would grow. It'll be annoying.

Ugh. I cant imagine the Colts hiring Tress. I like him as a part of the staff, but not as the head coach. That could just be awful, imo.

In the NFL, you HAVE to put teams away. Can't allow them to stay in it and come back on you. This isn't an Akron-like filled league. Every team can come back. He'd have to adjust his killer instinct for this.Laley23;1057198 wrote:Ugh. I cant imagine the Colts hiring Tress. I like him as a part of the staff, but not as the head coach. I have no idea if they will go and get Tress.
But I agree with Laley. He would be good somewhere on the staff, but NOT as a head man.

Trestman is an excellent offensive mind. Why he's in the CFL is beyond me.gorocks99;1057366 wrote:Chris Mortensen is saying Marc Trestman of the CFL could get an interview w/ Indy.

if Tressel is Indy coach, do you think an RG3 would fit his offense better than Luck?

Mike Florio/Pro Football Talk - Jason Smith is due to earn a base salary of $10 million in 2012, but just $1 million is guaranteed.
Sources say the Rams won't hesitate to release Smith as he hasn't lived up to his billing as the second overall pick of the 2009 NFL Draft.
Smith was picked as a left tackle, but has already been moved to the right side

I remember when Nicks came out, he had the biggest hands in the draft for a WR. I really wanted him at the time.

I think that would be the biggest change he would have to make. His philosophy would work in the NFL. Strong defense, solid running game, and a QB he can trust to make the right decision and at the same time can make every throw needed.pnhasbeen;1057206 wrote:In the NFL, you HAVE to put teams away. The part that is a huge question though is him dealing with guys who have huge contracts. Tressel stays loyal to guys to a fault, and also shelves guys when they piss him off to a fault. An owner isn't going to let him sit a $5 million/year guy just because he pissed him off.
