I believe it. It apparently runs in the family. It's a shame your mom couldn't get her hands on a coat hanger shortly after the tragic drunken night that lead to your conception.

I'm hoping for 16-18.

25-28 would be great! Do you think it's actually feasible?

I do believe it is very feasible, as the Northwestern Sectional is very competitive and the Garfield Heights District is down from previous years.

Some weights I believe it will be as tough to exit the sectional, as it will be districts! The area "should" be well represented in Columbus.

I believe you are right 1 beast, as this is the toughest sectional to report to Garfield Hts.

Congrats Bears on a 3rd place finish at State Duals. Up 24-5 on Edison and the wheels fell off.

Congrats to Tuslaw on their 5th place finish.

Two area schools show well at State Dual Championships....Huskies win the tournament they attend...Smithville looks good at their duals

And there is no talk....this is shamefull.........................................

Im about to stop wasting my time on this site.

not to mention Norwayne at the WHIZ duals, sectional teams Loudonville & Black River at the JC Gorman and a nice article on the Hall sisters in the DR.

It is a shame.....

Rumpelstiltskin-
I saw Hozan earlier in the year and didn't think he looked all that great, but he took no prisoners at the Gorman, looking much the way you described in rolling to a championship. Sectional will probably come down to Hozan & Durbin.

Norwayne fans-
Who is Roy Zollinger? and will he ever lose?

Dalton fans-
Can Everett make it to state?

Toothy Bloodbrush-
Tech falled by your wife, AGAIN!!!!
and you accuse me of fleeing the mat!!! WUSSY!!!

Roy Zollinger is a sophmore, he went 5 and 5 at Tri Valley if I'm correct. Strong as a bull but lacks good technique, when he decides to be coached look out.

WCAL qualifiers to the state tournament...I can think of 8 who are in the 80% plus range of making it. 10 more who I would put at 50% (plus probably 1 or 2 that will move into this class before the sectional). A small handful of kids come out of nowhere because they get hot or the weight class is weak. 7 (80%) + 6 (50%) +1 (all other/wild card). I am putting the over/under at 14 kids...we'll see how close this ends up. For the entire NW sectional..it seems that 20+ is possible and maybe even a few more. I'll put the over/under here at 22.

sorry beast but I really cant give much insight to talk on this thread.
I do read it however since I know some background on waynedale.
The Nelson twins always pique my interest mainly cause of falcon lol.
Those double Stanley spladles I saw on display at Marysville doesnt hurt either.

Congrats to Waynedale!

Thanks Cthelites!

Zollinger was a man among boys in Jr high...but it was a muscle match wrestling brawl. If he adds technique, lookout!

Wooster loses to Triway tonight in a tough dual. I'd love to see wadkins wrestle chapman at heavy again as I believe it is a good matchup. Chapman is lookin way better this year and looking strong! Other notes on the night Triway looks to have some studs coming up from jr high such as Trey varnes the Allison boy Marcus Kruitt, and Hunter Flinner.

If I read TDR correctly, it looked like Wooster had to forfeit a lot of heavier weight classes. What is up with that????

They all decided to get dedicated in the weightroom for next years football season and hopes for a win over Orrville.

I don't know they have a 220 and a heavy. Several from what I saw but look thin between 171 and 195.

Really?........I heard the officials and time keeper cheated Orrville out of another victory. How else could Norwayne beat Orrville?

Hillsdale & Northwestern BOTH cheated last year. It's the only way the WCAL can beat Orrville. AT ANYTHING!!!!!!!

sincerely,

Getting back to wrestling-

The earlier talk about format changes at the WCAL tourney, is there any truth to this?

in closing, I normally find it more enjoyable to disagree with Beast about stuff, but I must admit. He is absolutely right on the mat marks column. It's basically the thing I look forward to reading for news and stats. It would be nice to see some effort put into it.

Old Rider has a point though. Wow...let's try as hard as we can not to represent a #1 ranked team in the local paper. Of all the aspects of the making of a championship team you'd think at least we would have support from our local media on the process of getting there. I too was extremely dissapointed in the Mat Stats but attribute to possible minor neglect from someone who does too much already. Bears in prep for their first big tourny exposure this weekend at Marion. There we approach both Archebald and Milan Edison from a different angle than a straight on dual. Highly competitive event but who will really know in the Wayne County area. I guess maybe we don't have a team!!

The mat marks have been WAY off this year. I know they can't get everything right but wow. Goes to show you now even the daily record on top of high schools make wrestlers feel like an afterthought.
