I can't contain the excitement. I needed to start this thread. Any Predictions? Lineups? How will the area be affected by the weight changes? How will it be affected with the Nelson twins re-instated? They are phenomenal wrestlers putting in alot of hard work and achieving alot as I've seen in the paper. I want your thoughts.

Agreed but waynedayle is looking really tough with he twins back. Norwayne might even be in the mix if hey get their numbers up. So they could be in the mix for upsets as well headed by Grier. Triway should have a strong showing as well

Triway has moved to D-II....its not fun to be a Titan....glad to see them gone from our sectional...just another bunch of bandwagoners we dont have to listen cheer and jeer when our kids lose

I don't think Triway fans really qualify as bandwagoners. I label them more homers than bandwagoners.1_beast;810383 wrote:Triway has moved to D-II....its not fun to be a Titan....glad to see them gone from our sectional...just another bunch of bandwagoners we dont have to listen cheer and jeer when our kids lose
Anyway, Beast we still need to meet up for a beer some time. Speaking of which is the Nickle still open? I passed it the other day and it didn't appear to be in business.

The bandwagon comment relates to them joining in with the other WCAL schools against the Bears in a melodic chorus of puppets...lol cheering vigorously, as if they are all on the same team!
We actually laugh about it and thrive on it....
Beers are good...have too do a Wooster/Orrville beer...The Nickle closed about 2 years ago and I dont think its reopening..it should be dozed or burnt...lol

OK I understand your comment now, but remember no one hates the team in last place.
And yeah let's set up a beer or two.

Waynedale is a HUGE, HUGE favorite for 11-12. The only REAL question is will they break the WCAL meet scoring record.1_beast;809915 wrote:Defending Champion Huskys gotta be the favorite!
The Huskies (everybody hates us, everybodies against us---but we love it) will probably end up in 2nd, 80-90 pts behind the Golden boys.
Norwayne, Chippewa & Smithville will duke it out for 3rd. Hillsdale is a darkhorse in the race to finish in the top half of the league.
Sadly, Dalton will finish dead last, far behind 6th place. The Bulldog program was looking up a couple years ago but now I wonder if it will survive.

Its still fun. D2 has been generally weaker other than Graham the past few years. The strongest division is d1 obviously then d3 and lastly d2 IMO

WAYNEDALE is going to be a runaway train in 2011/12.....
Beam...The Nelsons....The Stanleys....Possible incoming transfers & 4-5 district qualifiers from last year who will make their names this year.
The Yellow Jello Boys will crush the county meet on the way to a top 5 state finish. Oak Harbor won't win the D3 title.....cause their D2....only 2 or 3 guys over.
Northwestern will be weaker than last year with the losses of Schaefer, Hershey & Topp. They will most likely get Fortune and maybe 1 or 2 others to Columbus. Long story short....the sled dogs don't have the muscle to defend their 2010/11 title.
Chippewa has the HWT stud returning....I think. Other than that, the cupboard is bare.....The Hall sisters are a nice story but I don't see them contending for much. Bryson Hall is gone and can't be replaced. Hopefully, the much improved coaching staff will bring in some new blood and keep the Chipps on the high road.
Norwayne.......apparently they are gonna be real good. I stand corrected.
Smithville.......getting better but it's gonna take years. I hear they have alot of kids in the program, so thats a plus.
Hillsdale.....same as Smithville.
Dalton......The toughest guys they had last year graduated, got injured, quit or didn't even wrestle. Things don't look better for this year.

Oops!! Looks like I whiffed on parts of my league rundown......More of a Football guy.
Friggin' Miyagi & Red Rum have filled me with some bad info. REVENGE WILL BE MINE.....
I should have known better when they told me "Waynedale" got its name because the land the school is on was owned by a couple of amish named "Wayne" and "Dale" Hershberger.
Barnum was right..."There's one born every minute"
Sucks it was me..........

Norwayne didnt lose anyone from last year and will and a good group of freshmen (k moore JH state runnerup). There football team only lost 1 or 2 kids that started I beleave. There wrestling team will only have 1 or 2 seniors this year to.

It is still a two horse race. Norwayne can make some noise but isn't deep enough to make a legit run. It takes time to unseat the kings.

Hey Turdbrush, I may have told you a few things that weren't true--but the Waynedale name thing is legit!!! Ask anybody--------sucker!!!!!!!
About Norwayne, they have some talent, off the top of my head I'm thinkng Holtzheimer, Britton, Gore, Rohrbaugh and Reed were all .500 or better last year. Studer and Moore are primed for big years. Dustin Grier is a hammer, although I thought he was a senior last year, if he's still around, he will make state.
My big question about Norwayne is what happened to Lil Burge & Bauman/Bowman(sp?) last year? Did they graduate?
Anyway, 2011-12 is looking like a "Year of the Bear". Beam, Nelson & Nelson, B.Stanley, D.Stanley, Wardell. Throw in the X factor (possible move-ins), freshman talent and anybody I forgot and the Bears are looking way tough.
Northwestern lost most of their top guns from last year. I'm thinking state qualifier Fortune will be a senior this year (not positive though). Young, Gregan, Berry, Meek and Workman all went around .500 or better last year and all should improve this year. I don't think the Huskies will win the league but I do think they will get second place.

Norwayne is looking primed for a title run.
Note: They got their school because a guy from Norton named Wayne previously owned the property.....

D-2 weak other than Graham? I've been to Maple Heights and Firestone and their is no comparison in the over all depth that D-2 has.

D 3 the past few years has been stronger overall but that's just my opinion

D-III has had some serious studs on top of the podium, even on the 2nd rung...but overall you cannot question the depth of D-II. !
