Rocket, if you look at the stats though...his defense has gotten progressively (albeit by a small amount) worse during the three years he's been at UC.

VS. Pitt
UC allowed 369 yards and 44 points
ND allowed 429 yards and 27 points

VS. UConn
UC allowed 462 yards and 45 points
ND allowed 372 yards and 33 points

I'm not saying ND has a better defense than UC. All I'm saying is that UC's defense is not that good. Period. And I'm not arguing that CW is a better choice than Kelly because I even said, Kelly knows he has a crappy defense and just outscores people.

Bottom line is, I'm not sold on Kelly, and I foresee years of the same problems as what we've had.

I'm not sure about the comment "Cinci's is way better as ND plays a cake schedule year after year". While I don't think ND plays a great schedule, it is at least as good as Cincy's.

Reading these posts makes me appreciate Coach Tressel even more!!
