We did multiplication in 4th grade, playing around the world like Otrap.

I also got a trip to pizza hut with the teacher for being the first in the class to correctly complete the entire multiplication table (teacher quizzed us with flash cards... Once you completed the 1s you could come back to do the 2s, etc until you got thru the 9s)

/cool story bro

We did the same thing, except it was a trip to Country Kitchen, and we had to do the 12s to get it. ;)

There are two possible answers to this problem... The real answer is that there is not enough information to make and educated response. Is this a "simple math problem" which would be right to left adding and subtracting the ones until you multiple the zero and get ZERO?

Or is this posted to be an algebraic equation which would result in the use of "Please Excuse My Dear Aunt Sally?" In that case, the answer would be 14

There are two answers and not enough info provided to find which is the right answer.

You couldn't be more wrong if you were just spewing out random letters as you typed.

1. 14 is the only correct and possible answer.
2. There is not any algebra here. This is simple arithmetic we all learn in grade school.
3. It is almost never correct to just go from left to right and do the operations it is especially not correct in this case.
4. I scored a perfect 36 on the math portion of the act and have an applied math degree. I am right as are only about 39% of the oc'ers.

Lol....no.

0-9 is ten digits ...

This sounded very "ass-hattery." Do you have many leather-bound books, as well? Maybe an office that smells of rich mahogany? ;)

FWIW, I got a 34 ... F U.

Saw the poll results before voting...there are two reasons why I went with 17. The first is the fact that nobody else selected it. The second was just for the lulz.

The answer is and ALWAYS will be 14.

Wow, I'm so upset I didn't join this thread sooner! Some people are just plain stupid! I can understand the logic behind someone saying 2 answers to the 48÷2(9+3)= problem, but only a complete idiot would think there were two answers to this one! (btw, it's 288)
